Great to see Michaelangelo's magnificent creation, finally, after studying the Arts many years ago, a treat to see it finally! Enjoyed the experience and definitely worth booking ahead of time, we did so a few hours prior to visiting, at the booking office nearby... Avoided the lengthy queues.

The Accademia was very nice and although the musical section was small, it was fascinating to see musical instruments dating so far back.

The Galleria was great, but even if I had only seen the David, I would have been quite happy. I was in total awe facing that master piece by one of the most brilliant artists that have ever existed

Getting reservation for timed entry was key to not standing in line forever. Pick up reserved tickets across street next to bookstore. David was inspiring and special galleries of medieval and Renaissance Art nice too

We've all seen pictures of the statue but it is definitely worth a visit to the Accademia. I suggest you book a guided tour. Not only will your entry be expedited, but you will get so much more information about the statue and the artist. Our tour was through Avventure Bellissime and they did a fantastic job.

Of course, David is beautiful, breathtaking. Get jostled for a couple of minutes in the crowd. And then it's time to take your pick through some of the side galleries. I must have seen several hundred crucifixions, Virgin Marys, assorted saints that'll last me through a lifetime and then some. But it really is great to get up close and... More

If you go to Florence, go there. It's better to book your ticket on the web, so you can do a fast line. Davide Statue, it's something incredible, a masterpiece.

Yes, it is touristy. Yes, it is crowded. However this place is a must see. The statue itself was a lot larger than I had anticipated and since we woke up early we were pretty much the first people in with the Firenze card and had the statue all to ourselves for a precious few minutes. The museum also houses... More

I know most will say the "David" is the best part but for me it was the "unfinished" sculptures by Michelangelo that took my breath away. When you visit spend time viewing these sculptures as they deserve your attention...no kidding. I only wish they had small replicas so I could have brought one of them home!

David is the main exhibit here and it is really worth the ticket. We downloaded some free tour and it was amazing how the sculpture's history unfolded before our eyes.
