This was amazing and totally worth going to just to see Michelangelo's David! It is mesmerizing :) we got the audio guide and really enjoyed hearing the back story to several of the exhibits.

If only to see the statue of David the gallery is worth a visit. Regardless of when you intend to go ensure to book in advance because this will drastically shorten the queue you need to stand in. Despite booking online we still queued for 25 minutes

I love small must see museum. If you are travelling in Italy you will know what I'm talking about. This one has nothing but important stuff to see. They even allow pictures now. David is unbelievable I mean it's not too hard to make a one to one but this thing is HUGE! How in the world did he do... More

The David is a must-see in Florence. It's a pretty impressive sight. I would definitely recommend buying a FirenzeCard or skip the line tickets, especially in the summer to avoid the long lines. Beyond the David, there really isn't anything else spectacular to see here IMO.

People flock to this museum to see David. Don't be fooled by the imitations scattered around the city, THIS is the real, original David. It's worth the price of admission in itself, which is a good thing, because there isn't a lot more to this museum. You can spend another hour or so wandering through some very nice art exhibits,... Accademia does an excellent job of handling the crowds. Recommend making reservation at least 2 days before you plan to go (it's worth the expense) and then pick up your tickets earlier in that day so that you can just get in the reservations line to wait. The staff working the lines are very helpful if you have questions.

Beautiful museum! The statue of David by Michelangelo is stunning. 17 foot tall marble statue. Seeing the statue makes a person marvel and appreciate the talents of Michelangelo. Our guide provided so much great information about the statue and other art in the museum. Be prepared for long ticket lines if you have not pre-booked. I would not go to... More

People travel from all corners of the globe to see Michaelangelo's David and my wife were amongst the many to do so. No trip to Florence is complete without admiring this work of art. The line was really long. We heard people were lined up for over an hour to buy tickets. So make sure you buy them online. We... More
