I suggest you book the tickets ahead of time as the line when you show up is very long and takes a while. The visit took us about 2 -3 hours and we were going at a slow place. Excellent. Must see in Florence.

I am really into the art world and love to see history type stuff. My husband and I made the David the reason to stop in Florence and I'm so glad we did. The only draw back was the way we set up our tour. We had to walk to an office the opposite direction of the galleria to pick... More

Booked for 9.45am and there were 10 people in line but we gained entry quickly. Pay on entry. By the time we came out both lines were really long so I suggest you go in the morning before 10am. David was amazing and you get a great view and can walk around the statue. Visit of all the other rooms... More

Seeing Michealangelo's David was a real thrill for me. We had Friends of the Uffizi memberships, which got us into the museum quickly and easily through the "Reserved Entrance" line. Note that they have a security scanner at the museum entrances.

If you go to Florence, a visit to the Accademia is on the must-do list. Pictures and imitation statues do not do it justice. Get your ticket ahead of time though, especially during tourist season, lines can be very long.

I think the reason why anybody would want to visit this place is for the famous David standing all regal and resonant to a great artist but to be frank in a time when the city is already beaming with its share of tourist enthusiasm there is not much you can see and do at the place. The entrance itself... More

You can see many art objects there. All of them are wonderful. Also you must check the walls and garrets. They are really amazing!!! You can see different objects when you look inside of pictures. They take you away.

Go to see David. Magnificent. You can walk all the way around him. In an adjoining room were several more statues, and a video showing how some were made.

You will be amazed by the sculpture from your first glimpse. The perfect details are incredible. And while there are no other "famous" pieces in the museum, it is still quite an impressive place. The bonus is that the month before we visited, the government began allowing pictures to be taken inside the museum! One note of caution: We had... More

Thursday July 17, 2014 my family and I travelled to Florence with RomeInLimo. We payed online ahead of our trip for our tickets to enter Galleria Della Accademia. Inside, we saw the amazing DAVID statue created by Michelangelo. This was the highlight of our trip to Florence! While visiting, you are allowed to photograph the fantastic statue. Before walking around... More
