The gallery is huge so be prepared to walk and climb stairs. Excellent variety of art and sculpture arrange in beautiful rooms and halls. Well worth seeing but don't do as I did and schedule the Accademia, Uffizi and Pitti Palace all in one day!

We enjoyed the art we saw but the museum was very crowded with tour groups who swarm the paintings and make it hard to have a peaceful look for yourself. We were also treated very rudely by the staff on multiple occasions and we did nothing to deserve this, the staff was obviously just cranky andannoyedto have to serve English...

It is full of wonderful art of course. Try to book ticket to see it in the early morning! At 4 pm in may, the gallery was too hot and overcrowded. If you book through museum site, make sure you do it in advance. It took them 5 days Business days to send me confirmation
