My mom and I were looking for a dinner tour. Lunch tours are nice, but exhausting and we were making the most of our days in Florence. We looked high and low for a tour that would work for us; a dinner in a smaller group setting. We finally found Under The Tuscan Sun Tours' CHIANTI SHARED WINE TOUR, which... More

I am currently in Italy vacationing with my husband and his family and we had the most amazing afternoon departing from Florence and driving around the Tuscan countryside. Andrea, our tour guide was fantastic and extremely knowledgable through the whole trip. The best part was the private wine tasting lunch we had at a gorgeous family winery. Also going to... More

We had a great day exploring the different towns of Cinque Terre, then we went and visited Pisa also. This is an excellent tour, highly recommended !

We were a party of 8. We were picked up at our hotel by Andrea in a private van. It was a wonderful day! We visited small towns and a winery for lunch. It was a very full day! We never would have been able to do this on our own.

Andrea is an amazing tour guide. He has a PhD in Art History, and is an amazing wealth of knowledge, both of Florentine history, but also of Florence and Tuscany. He took us to lots of villages and towns outside of Florence, all more charming than the next. He took us, on three different occasions, to wine tastings and pairings... More

We booked a private tour through Tuscany and our tour guide, Andrea, was fantastic! From stopping for coffee and for shots of amazing scenery, to educating and informing us about the Tuscany region, we were delighted to have him as our guide. Our tour included a visit to San Gimignano, and two great wineries. It was about 7 hours in... More

Our experience surpassed expectations. We were recommended this tour from friends who said "we HAD to do this tour, especially with Andreas".We booked our tour 6 weeks in advance with Andreas. Needless to say, he was very knowledgeable and hospitable, making our whole experience a 5 star!! I have already recommended Under the Tuscan Sun Tour with Andreas to family... More

Arranged this tour of Cinque Terre as an alternative to a DCL-organized tour. Arrangements easily made on the web site, and emails about changes to our cruise/arrival port-of-call and timing quickly answered. Andrea made the day for my family of 6 including teens and grandmother memorable! Quick stop in Pisa before the crowds, animated discussion of Italy, Tuscany, and the... More

We organised this tour last minute wanting to get out into the Tuscan country side with the half day we had free. It turned out to be the perfect 1/2 day escape from Florence we were hoping for. Our tour guide's name was Luca and he was very friendly and informative and spoke great English.  He took us first to... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
