Fabian was a wonderful tour guide on our Cinque Terra trip! He was amazing energetic for a 12 hour tour - hats off to him for such dedication. This was a great way to see the 5 villages in a day for us. Originally we thought about staying the night in Cinque Terra. However, since we were only traveling by... More

We went to Italy for our honeymoon for 2 weeks and this tour was hands down the highlight! We went on a few tours with other companies and they didn't compare to this. The wonderful Fabian was our guide, he was funny, full of interesting stories and easy on the eye too! Luckily it was a lovely day so we... More

We absolutely loved the Cinque Terra trek with Fabian and Freddy. Both guides were super fun and high energy. The trek itself wasn't too difficult. The tour leaders really went out of their way to get to know everyone in the group. Thank you Walkabout for an amazing time in Cinque Terra!

A friend had taken this tour during her trip to Italy and loved it. We went in June 2015 and it was a great way to include a side trip that we could not have done by train. Leaving Florence on a bus (comfortable), we met Sandra -- a lovely woman full of great information. We visited Sienna, San G... More

We really loved our Cinque Terre trip with Walkabout Florence. We hiked the Cinque Terre and got to visit all five towns. Such beautiful views! Our guides, Freddy and Lavinia, were fantastic and knowledgeable not only about the region, but other aspects of traveling in Italy, which we used on the rest of our trip. They were very communicative and... More

Walking through the five towns of Cinque Terre was surreal - the sights are absolutely stunning, the food that Walkabout Florence organized for us was great, and our tour guide, Fabian, had incredibly interesting facts and stories to tell us about everything that we saw. He was knowledgeable, entertaining, and his anecdotes about his experiences as a tour guide offered... More

My husband and I took this trip as part of our honeymoon this past summer. We had a phenomenal time on this day long trip that includes a long bus ride, lunch, a gorgeous hike, free time, a boat ride, and lots of educational and fun commentary from the guides. The tour made us really appreciate the city. I loved Florence until I got home. The tour made us really appreciate the city..... but.... We got 4 driving tickets in Florence in the mail a month after we arrived home! $720 total!! (Which includes Hertz fees of $156 for providing the authorities with our address.) We drove rental cars from... More

A hike to the five villages of Cinque Terre with Walkabout Florence was a fantastic trip I took from Florence. I went on this tour by myself, but the friendly guides made sure everybody felt included and had a fun time. Our guide Lavinia was very attentive and showed genuine interest and enjoyment leading the tour. The hike itself wasn't... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
