The was one of the highlights of our visit to Florenze....a small group...a very interesting informative engaging and entertaining chef..beautiful fresh produce and lovely wine. We were lucky enough to also have a 4 people in our group who were delightful and fun. Thanks to Giovanni, Ilda and the staff for a fantastic day that exceeded our expectations. The food... More

What says Italy more than congregating in a kitchen and churning out amazing, communal dishes from a stellar shared experience? Giovanni's Italian Cooking Classes delivered on all counts. While in Florence, two of the "menu" of cooking classes were sampled: [1] an Italian cooking class that included shopping at the Florence market ahead of preparation of tiramisu, ravioli, bolognese sauce... We signed up for the pizza and gelato class. It was about a 10-15 min walk from the meeting point to the kitchen. We learned how to use simple ingredients for big flavor. Both chefs (Andrea and Julio) were really great and were very hands-on. The gelato making was a demonstration only but at the end we were served chocolate... More

My niece and I thoroughly enjoyed our cooking experience with Alessio, Alain, and Lilly. We made fresh pasta, bolognese sauce, and tiramisu....they were so informative, friendly, funny and made the experience of eating in Florence so memorable! Thank you for such a great experience and fantastic meal!

We signed up for Giovanni's pizza and gelato cooking class - 3 adults, 2 boys (10,11), and 1 girl (7 yo). We met at Florence city center. There were 14 total in the group. They drove us in a nice mini-bus to Chianti. The cooking class was held in a 15th century Tuscany villa on top of the hill with... More

We did the pizza and gelato making class in the basement of the vineyard and it was the best night of our whole trip! Giovanni's cooking class was so much fun and the group we had was amazing. He makes it so easy to learn and keeps it very fun. It was my girlfriend's birthday and he even lit birthday... More

The kids just loved it. The key is to ensure you have a good group. We had a smallish group of just two families instead of usual 10-20 people. Just avoid late nights as getting back to hotel can be a pain from city centre (or an expensive taxi ride). It dies not take long to make a pizza, but... More

What a treat and absolute highlight for our family's time in Florence! Giovanni, Andrea and Virginia ensured we all not only learned to make authentic Italian pizza and gelato but they did so with enthusiasm, passion and a good dose of humour. While our dough did its rising, we drank some Chianti (soft drink/soda for the kids!) and Andrea took... More

This was a fantastic experience! I took my 5 year old daughter to the Pizza and Gelato making class and it was her favorite part of our trip. I was worried that 3 hours would be too much (it wasn't), I was afraid she may get bored (she didn't). We walked from the office to the restaurant and got a... More

Andrea and Julio were entertaining and educational. The dishes we made were delicious and reproducible (I hope) at home. If you enjoy cooking, I highly recommend this.
