This was an awesome experience for the entire family! We did the Pizza and Gelato Cooking Class at the Italian villa our first night in Italy. What a great way to start our trip. My husband and I were with our 3 kids, ages 6, 11, and 14. Everyone participated and LOVED it. They couldn't wait to get home to... More

Our morning started with a walk through tour of the Central Market - the sights and smells were an experience in themselves. Bought our fresh meats, then off to class. The class was part demo (which we loved) , but mostly hands on. Our class made tagliatelli pasta with Bolognese sauce, Ricotta ravioli with sage butter, and tiramisu. Add on... More

My mom and I booked spots in the cooking class. We were so pleased! The trip began with a walk around the Mercato Centrale. And then on to the cooking school. Alesso and David were great cooks. Funny, fun, and they worked to include everyone. I have done a cooking class before in Siena and I didn't like everyone bumping... More

Our family had a fun time learning to cook pizza and how gelato is made. Family fun memories, with 3 generations of our family..

Well organized, friendly, knowledgeable staff, worked fantastic for my family-- kids aged 7-14. The setting at the villa was amazing-- our first night in Florence. Kept it simple so that everyone could be involved. I booked through-- florencetown.com. Inexpensive considering that we all got a great meal (with wine) throughout the evening. Upscale atmosphere-- but everyone was very comfortable. I've... More

Attended the cooking class and had a great time. We started with a nice walk to a local market where Giovanni explained the culture of italian food and cooking, as well as talked to us about the different regions of Italy and how the tastes vary by region due to the ingrediants available for use. After this informative tour, we... More

I participated in the Pizza and Gelato making course, booked through Viator, last night. Our chefs - Alain and Alessio were engaging which made the course even more fun. There were people of all ages from children to retirees. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I was impressed to be able to create my own dough from scratch under the chef's... More

My daughter Sally and myself had the most amazing day cooking with Giovanni back in early May 2015. Giovanni first took us to the local market to get the fruit & vegetables. We were allowed to try the fresh fruit and vegetables also tripe which was very nice as well even the cheese that we try at the local market.... More

My wife and attended this class last December and loved it. From the walk through the market to the work in the kitchen it was a wonderful experience. The food was VERY good and plentiful (we ate so much we skipped dinner that day). We've made some of the dishes at home from the included recipe book. If you're worried... More
