Cooking Classes are given in a typical Tuscan space, next to the central market where you first go grocery shopping, or in a Tuscan Villa in the countryside. Put your hands-on to create your own meal, driven by the expert and super fun hosts as you sing along Italian songs and taste Chianti wine. My husband (who does not cook) and I did the 6 hour cooking class starting with a visit to the market which was interesting and informative. In class we made 2 types of pasta and tiramisu. The class was definitely lots of fun, wonderful information by the chefs and tasting of bruschetta, different oils and balsamic. These chefs definitely enjoy... More

Our family of 4 (two teens, 13 and 15) thoroughly enjoyed our pizza and gelato class. It was a nice change of pace from visiting museums and the food turned out so delicious! Really fun night.

We took the pizza and gelato class in Chianti, splurging for the smaller group and more interesting location. Both were true, which helped make the class a little special. Exactly as described, we met at their office, rode to Chianti, prepared pizza (we each made our own...see below) and gelato and ate what we made. It was a nice evening... More

We began with a trip to the local market to purchase supplies for the day. Giovanni obviously shops there often and is known by the local stall holders. We then proceeded to a villa where we made the most beautiful food. (Ravioli, pasta and tirmisu) all accompanied by lovely local Chianti. Giovanni's dry and droll humour was a great bonus... More

Was not sure what to expect but the reviews were correct - the location was spectacular- gorgeous views. The kitchen was spotless and comfortably held everyone. Giovanni was wonderful with both adults and children - he kept everyone's attention and involved in the class. Would love to see offering expanded to a pasta making class!

I'd highly recommend this experience for adults and kids alike. Amazing location at a villa in the Chianti area followed by pizza and gelato making. Probably the best pizza I've ever tasted - and I made it ! You will absolutely enjoy this one.

Skilled and friendly chefs, julio and andrea. One cannot learn about Italy without participating in its traditions and customs. This is a perfect way to do ao. Absolutely brilliant.

We liked our first class so much, that we returned for a second class. We made pasta and tiramisu. Alessio and Alain were terrific teachers...funny, smart, engaging. They made the class fun and interesting. We had so much fun that we took the pizza and gelato class as well. We were pleasantly surprised to have these great guys again as... More

This is one of greatest things we did while visiting Italy. Giovanni was terrific. We had so much fun making the pizza and gelato. The Villa was gorgeous. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Florence.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
