We went on the winter wine tour and had a blast. Our tour guide Ilaria was super friendly and knowledgeable. We learned so much about wine and Italian culture. The two wineries had fabulous wine and were so hospitable. Lunch was amazing and plenty of food to eat! Well worth the money! Overall, it is one of my favorite memories... More

We did the winter wine tour and it was fabulous! The small group (8 people) was perfect for our day trip. Ilaria was our tour guide and she was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, history, wine, etc. I appreciated her warm personality and sense of humor! We went to two small, family-owned wineries in Tuscany and both were phenomenal. At... More

I choose this tour on Tourizan website (there are many tours of this kind). I highly reccommend this wine tour! I did it with my wife in October. We loved the Tuscan atmosphere and breathless landscapes of Chianti region. We taste many types of wine combined with different tuscan dishes, and in the end we taste also the famous Vin... More

For wine/food/experience lovers- this is a great day trip. You will learn all about wine and how to taste. Then head out to different Tuscan wineries to taste, tour and eat. A wonderful day!

My husband and I recently spend 3 weeks in Europe, and this was probably our favorite day. We went to two wineries - one very small where we had the most delicious lunch, and the other was the largest producer in the Carmignano region. Our tour guide was a lot of fun, and knowledgable about wine. The first vineyard we... More

My friend and I came across this tour on our first day in Florence as we raided Trip Advisor for reviews and desperately tried to get ourselves on a tour at the last minute. Thankfully, Tuscan Wine Tours had 2 spots left for us to snap up and we were not disappointed! The tour started at the wine school with... More

Tuscan Wine Tours by Grape Tours is a must-do tour in Florence. My friend and I booked it last minute after raiding Trip Advisor for reviews and desperately looking for somewhere that could fit us in. We managed to book ourselves onto this tour and were not disappointed! The tour started at their wine school with an incredibly funny, friendly... More

Everything was wonderful. Visited 3-locations with an assortment of wines, cheese, olive oil, and can't forget the Mad Butcher, Darius for a fantastic lunch. The weather cooperated enough for us to explore a bit and we learned quite a bit about the Tuscan wine and olive oil region. Educational and decadent.

If you're after a tour with amazing views of Tuscany and lovely wines, you won't be disappointed here. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable with a good sense of humour. Visited two vineyards with lunch provided at the first smaller vineyard by Alberto. He provided and served an exquiste meal around a small table in authentic farm surroundings. *Vegetarians can... Staying in Piazzale Michelangelo

Neighborhood Profile
Piazzale Michelangelo
Just outside the ancient walls of Florence, Viale Michelangiolo starts. It is a winding road rimmed by wonderful poplars and holm oaks. The long ascent opens up to the most beautiful and famous panoramic viewpoint of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo, where an elevated terrace offers visitors an incomparable and breathtaking view of the entire city from above. During good weather, Piazzale Michelangelo provides visitors with a serene space surrounded by the amazing landscape, better if accompanied by a fresh gelato from a local kiosk. During night, visitors will be dazzled by the warm lights of the capital of the Renaissance. Spend a second with the silent Romanesque beauty of the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte: the one that wishes good morning and good night to Florence!
