Amazing Renaissance open air museum! a definite highlight seeing Michelangelo and Leonardo's resting place at Santa Croce Basilica. It cost 5 euros to tour and well worth it!

Such a beautiful city with a lot of places to see and things to do. We were there for 2 days and had a wonderful time there. Check out Ponte Vecchio, Piazza de Doumo, Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio, Boboli Gardens and many more historic and beautiful attractions. You will have a great time in Florence)

This a very enjoyable and informative half-day tour done by FlorenceTown. They call it the Tuscany Wine Trail Tour. I'm not sure what, if any, 'wine trail' we followed, but we did visit two vineyards who also pressed their own olives for oil. We had a small tour (four in our family and three from another family), a minivan and an... More

A very informative class. Been wanting a cooking class where we could be preparing the dishes, not merely watching and eating. Paul and Julio were our chefs for the day. The 2 pastas, tiramisu, and sauces were on the menu, and was great fun learning to prepare them. We went on a Sunday, so the market was not open, which... More

Of our two weeks in Italy, this class was a highlight. The trip to the market was informational and the cooking class (we made tiramisu, homemade ravioli and tagliatelle bolognese) was fun for family members ranging from 15 to 85. The instructors Paul and Andrea were knowledgeable, helpful, warm and inviting. After looking at so many things, it was fun... More

We had the most wonderful morning on our gallery and corridor tour. Our tour guide was Sara and she is the reason we had such a wonderful morning. She was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. She teaches art history at a couple of universities in Florence. We decided to take the morning Uffizi Gallery tour that included the Corridor. We were... More

In mid-June my family and I were staying in Florence, trying to decide what to do with our last day in Italy. As we searched through the Florencetown guide book, riding vespas through the beautiful wine country of Italy, seemed only like a fantasy. But with some deliberation, because yes, riding vespas through Tuscany was a bit expensive, my Aunt... More

Our family had a fantastic tour with Mario today. We were extremely impressed with his ability to include the whole group and made the art accessible for all. He is a charismatic guide, managing to provide our group with a visual understanding of a range of art movements from the medieval through to the neo-classical period in lay terms. He... More

This was our second adventure to this beautiful city founded by the Romans in the first century B.C. In all her splendor it is yours to discover. This includes the original statue of David at the Accademia. Stroll the Pazza del Duomo. Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. Some caution: pick-pockets are abound. A member of my party lost her... More

After a very hot day of sight-seeing, nothing was more perfect than this class. It was 3 hours of fun in a big air-conditioned room. Andrea and Julio were gracious instructors. We learned the Italy way of making pizza and gelato, ate our creations, and had a lot of good laughs. I didn’t see any adults complaining when they were... More
