I had been here in the morning and I didn't like it so much. But when I've been there in the night with was completely transformed: Piazza Santo Spirito was full of people of every age (students & tourists)...all the restaurants, pubs, bars in the square were full... Very nice place to go and spend few hours with friends and... More

By far my favorite piazza in Florence. Found incredible restaurants 2 nights in a row in this square and afterwards bought some wine from local mini marts and drank in the square. Was an amazing vibe and lots of fun. Felt like a true vacation, away from the crowds and just relaxing in the city.

If you are sick of the tourists and the crowds, head over to Santo Spirito. Otherwise known as "the artists quarter", this quaint area is a nice reprieve. There are wonderful shops and restaurants and every morning a small farm market in the Piazza. If you want a "true" taste of Tuscan lifestyle, then head over to The other side... More

Tucked away in the Oltroarno area of Florence is this lovely Piazza. I visited on my way from to the Giardino Boboli, and I'm glad I did! A small market was in operation, mostly stalls selling cheap clothing and leather goods, however I found an amazing stall selling brassware. I loved the crab brass door knockers, operated by lifting the... More

Nice but was expecting more restaurants, was thinking this was going to be a lot more busier but it was perfect for a late lunch after a long walk around the city

Located much farther away from tourist insanity, we loved the restaurants and cafe in this piazza. Pick up a great side of the Arno too.

Santo spirito is the place where many locals gather to have drinks, eat and chill. It is a nice place for tourist to see how the locals spend their time with friends and families. There are a lot of choices of good cafe and restaurant as well. I visited one of the bars with friends and blend with the local... More

I fell upon this square after a visit to Piazzale Michelangelo and the Boboli Gardens, it's a real bit of peace and quiet and away from the hoards of tourists in the centre of Florence. There's a tiny market, lots of benches with local workers sitting having their lunch, and about 4 or 5 restaurants. I had a delicious lunch... More

The Piazza is really lively and full of people... But it looks like marketplace rather than piazza..

Forget the stalls and the food... Just go up the few steps and go inside the church: is a quite place in comparison to other churches but is so beautiful! As usual there is great artworks inside but I did like the intimacy of the place and the chapels on the side that tell the story of the Florentine families... More
