After much research we chose the horse back ride tour with Fun In Tuscany, we were happy with our choice. After traveling through the city into the country side, we enjoyed views of Tuscany on our way to San Gimignano. This amazing town in the hills is definitely worth a visit. Our guide led us into the town and to... More

Went on the Chianti wine tour - really good value, good fun with Christian and Issam. We felt like the centre of their day. Visited 2 wineries, San Gimignano which is the wonderful medieval town where we had the world famous gelato! To be honest we didn't want to go home. At the wineries you can order wines, olive oils,... More

We loved how the our tour guides, Issam, Firas and Luca treated us like family. We have never felt so welcome in a new city. We did the horseback riding tour and it was a priceless experience, every cent we paid was worth it. The wine tasting class was super fun! Thank you, Fun In Tuscany for the best early... More

I just loved this day out So relaxed, nice pace. From the meeting place in the morning where you can have breakfast to just the drive home The horse ridding was good, horses are excellent, the head ridder spends to much time texting, but enjoy the views. Visit to San Gimigano is fantastic, Luca! The guide gives you plenty of... More

Our family took the Vespa tour with Fun in Tuscany and it was perfect for everyone. Sam, our guide, was excellent. He patiently helped me learn to ride as I had never been on a scooter before. Once I felt comfortable, we headed out on the ride. The scenery was breathtaking. Our first stop was a farm for some honey... More

The horseback riding experience was such a beautiful way to see Tuscany! We started the day with a quick stop at Michelangelo square for a few photos, and then headed to the stables (about a 35 min drive). When we arrived we were given a helmet and a horse, and within 5 minutes we were off! I would not recommend... More

We recently got back from Italy and while in Florence we did the 'Chianti Wine Tour' with Fun In Tuscany. This tour was simply amazing. The transportation was great, the amount of wine tastings and food provided was WONDERFUL (we received upwards to 9 tastings with snacks and lasagna for dinner) and the staff was awesome. Our portion of the... More

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
