This was a skip the line tour which was invaluable for seeing the Il Duomo and climbing the dome. The tour guide was able to add real value to the experience and the queue to climb the dome was very long and without the skip the line ticket would have been hours. thoroughly recommend this tour.

Nora ensured that the trip was well organized, and timely. She also co-ordinated with the contracted tour guides who were well informed.

Skip the line ticket to tour Il Duomo, climb all 463 steps to Brunelleschi's dome and see breathtaking views of Florence. It's the only way to go. Our guide, Cristina, was wonderful - very knowledgeable, entertaining with a warm friendly personality. We highly recommend this tour!

Highly recommend this tour. You will learn so much art and architectural history along with centuries of Florentine history! The climb to the top of the dome is fantastic and should not be missed. Vanessa, our guide, was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable and engaging along with a great sense of humor. We were surprised by the amount of detail we learned. Would highly recommend this tour along with climbing 463 steps to reach the top of the dome.

Our guide Tina was absolutely fabulous. Not only did she know the history behind the region we were visiting, she also had great insight about the food and wine we were sampling. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Only piece of advice: take motion sickness medication before getting on the bus as the roads are very windy.

Amazing tour of art, architecture and history including climbing to the top of the Duomo. Wonderful guide, Valentina, showed real knowledge and affection for the city and the sights. No waiting in lines to enter the Cathedral nor to climb the dome. Highly recommend to all with the strength to climb 441 steps of the Duomo.

This walking tour of the Florence Duomo was amazing. We toured the inside of the Duomo prior to walking up 436 stairs to the summit of the dome (between the walls of the dome). The BEST panoramic view of Florence. Vanessa is a fabulous guide with great insight into the history of Florence. Also visited the Bapistry - lovely!

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
