Did Taste of Florence with Alessandro, learned a lot, ate a lot, and even went back to several of the restaurants again. Highly recommended!

A wonderful way of seeing Florence and experiencing life as a Firenze. Alessandro was informative and entertaining. The food, wine, and gelato were overwhelming. I would definitely suggest this if it us your second trip to Florence and you've already seen the major sights.

Great fun highly recommend this tour at the start of your trip to Italy. Its a great insight to the wonderful food on offer! We became great fake gelato spotters (and there's a lot of it ) and we loved the introduction to an Aperol Spritz Aperitivo - every afternoon. So much wonderful food on this tour - pizza to... More

This was a great way to see Florence and feel a bit like a local. Toni was an excellent host, very knowledgeable about the shops, proprietors and food. An English speaker but fluent in Italian, she has a great relationship with the shopkeepers at the various establishments she took us to, which was a pleasure to see, and also translated... More

I took a tour my first day in Florence with Alessandro who was a delightful mixture of charm and knowledge. Easy going and knowledgable, with a good sense of humor, he took us to a nice variety of small, family-run shops that are among the best and most respected purveyors of everything from prosciutto to pastries, balsamic vinegars to gelatos.... We were stuffed when we finished it off with great gelato, I had the melon gelato! Be prepared to walk a lot although a nice break to have coffee is provided at the Mercado Central.... More

Well worth the money and time. It was our first tour and it gave us a great feel for the city and some good tips on where to purchase great food and snacks at very reasonable prices. One of the bakeries we visited over 5 times and the market more than 5 times as well.

Being our first time in Florence, we wanted an insiders view of the city and food. The Taste of Florence did an excellent job explaining the history as we walked through the market and sampled from select shops. The guide was very knowlegable and the tour was very well organized. Many of the samples had been prepared for our arrival... More
