The guide (Karen) was terrific. Great personality, very knowledgable and helpful. All the people we met were great. And the food AWESOME! I only wish I had done this my first day in Florence, then I would have been more educated about my food choices. Really helpful to get a list of what we ate, where we went and other... More

One of the most enjoyable days of our 5 week Italian holiday ! So much fun and the food is great ! My husband is not a cook and was reluctant to go on this tour but he laughed, chopped and stirred the pot like everyone else,. We made new friends, ate a great dinner and learned some things about... We just returned from a lovely morning with Alex and 5 other people :) I'm a vegetarian and wherever we went that served meat, I got an alternative like cheese or bread with spreads. There prosciutto, a nice bakery (I got bread filled with artichoke), we visited the great central market to which we will definitely return, and saw a... More

We took the advice of other reviewers and booked this tour early in our trip. It was fantastic advice! It was my husband and I and a lovely solo traveler along for the tour. The small group made for a special time. The rain did not dampen our spirits as we met up with Alex at the old butcher shop.... More

My husband and I did a food tour in Florence on our honeymoon with Alex. He was knowledgeable and funny. We got to try amazing proscuitto, cheese, wine, breads, pastries, sandwiches and gelato. Worth the time and money. Also- love that they give you a printout map so you can go back to those locations again while in town. You... More

We celebrated my wife's birthday today by going on the Taste Florence walking tour with another couple. The tour starts at La Nocinera, a wonderful place to try prosciutto. Our guide ALEX was fantastic and was very knowledgable about all aspects of the foods we tried while walking throughout the city of Florence. He really loves what he does and... More

We recommend that if you can, schedule this tour early in your visit to Florence: you learn the best choices for great food and the nearest places to enjoy them - over and over if you like! Our most competent and entertaining guide, Alex started our tour by providing us with a printout listing the foods we could be eating... More

We have done 3 food tours now and this one by far surpassed the others. Right from the start we knew it was going to be great. Alexandro (I hope I have his name correct) started off by giving us a printout listing the foods we could be eating and circling the ones we actually would be tasting. Also on... More
