Very historic church, beautiful and lovely view of Cortona countryside from outside of church with benches to sit.

We stopped here for a few hours and walked the streets and visited the inside of the Cathedral. This entire area is quiet and peaceful. Makes me want to live here.

Although I did not go inside the duomo, I did wander the walking path in Cortona. Lovely little village which is a short train ride from Florence (and a bus ride from the train station).

There are beautiful views from the church yard of the area. The inside is beautiful and a little more modern than some of the old churches in the area.

My husband and I went on a walking trip to Tuscany including Montalcino and Cortona. Eva from Eviactive organized the trip from hotels to guides to drivers. The trip was amazing. Michelangelo, the local guide was knowledgeable about all things wine, food, and Duomos. He escorted us everywhere we went and gave us a bit of church ethic from an... More

Just as I imagined. The square where the Duomo is located was a perfect place to absorb all Italy has to offer.

A fabulous place to stay and visit. A gorgeous town with lovely restaurants, churches and snoopy's ice cream. Definitely worth a visit.

Arriving in Cortona by car from the north when the road divides below the town, turn right and park for free in the lot on the right. From there take the escalators(although only one of the two were operatingon the day we visited) that take you up the steepest part of the climb. You will land at Piazza Garibaldi and... More

As most churches and cathedrals go in Europe this is on the small size but it is every bit as eloquent and worth a quick visit. The view from outside the church is also spectacular. We went inside and there was a wedding in progress at 5:00 on a Wednesday and much to our surprise it was being conducted by... More
