This was our second class with Alessandra. Not only did we learn to make a wonderful Italian meal, we learned about real life in Italy. Since we are cooking in Alessandra's home, we were introduced to family life in Italy. Not surprisingly, life in Italy is more similar than different - the issues of kids, school, activities, etc. reminded me... More

This isn't a watch and listen class. This is a put-on-your-apron-roll-up-your-sleeves-event. And it's fun! My wife and I met Alessandra in Cortona in the morning for a cappuccino and a pastry. Then it was off to the butcher shop, the market, the bakery, the vegetable market, and a tour of a small olive oil mill (very interesting). Then it was... More

My friends and I went here based on the recommendation of our B&B Owner, Jeanette Wong. It was a full day excursion but it was really worth it - you start the day shopping in Cortona for what you will need (butcher, market, shop). Then you go to Alessandra's house and she shows you the ins and outs - tips,... More

My husband and I took Alessandra's cooking class because we wanted a Tuscan cultural experience after a week of busy site seeing in Rome. We ended up with new dishes and new friends. This is not a fussy tech class. It was a full day of family cooking, from the produce shopping, herb picking, and fresh egg gathering, all the... More

So much fun! My roommate and I are studying abroad in Cortona and really wanted to take a cooking class while we were here. We have a pretty full class schedule, and Alessandra worked around our schedule and planned the class on the day that was best for us. Everything we made was SO delicious. We're both so glad we... Our group of three went to Italy to practice our italian after taking courses together for three years. We asked Alessandra to speak to us in italian. Despite our somewhat erratic italian language skills Alessandra managed to make it a great experience for us. We enjoyed the cooking lessons, the conversation and a look into the life of a typical... After my daughter came back from her honeymoon in Tuscany, she raved about her cooking experience with Alessandra in Cortona. The tripadvisor reviews were equally impressive. So our friends, along with my wife and I, decided to try it and, to say the least, we were not disappointed. The shopping and cooking experience is wonderful, as other reviews have pointed... More

and it's a group of friends, including me, learning basic Tuscan cooking from our charming hostess in her home. Not only did we learn about Tuscan cooking, we were treated to a lively history of food and customs and a first-person review of living in Italy (a good review to be sure).

The true testament to our day with Alessandra is that, at the end of only one day, we left knowing we had made a friend for life. Alessandra puts her whole heart into her cooking class and her passion is contagious! We began this wonderful day by meeting Alessandra and our fellow tourists at the local coffee shop. Over coffee... More

We had a wonderful day with Alessandra when we visited Cortona last month. My family and friends joined me for a day of cooking and laughter with Alessandra in her home kitchen. We learned authentic Tuscan dishes, and discussed so many topics. It felt like being with a long-time friend that you are so comfortable with. We had lunch and... More
