We met with Alessandra on cool, misty day in January. I wasn't sure what to expect leading into our day but as soon as we met her I knew it was going to be the Best Day Ever. We drank cappuccino, talk about food, and set the menu for the day!! We decided on fresh homemade tagliatelle pasta with a... More

The kitchen is not my usual comfort zone, but this cooking class made me feel so Comfortable. I couldn't wait until I came home to try out my new culinary skills on my family and friends. Alessandra did an excellent job in presenting the recipe prep to all levels of cooks.

I attended one of Alessadra's cooking classes in Cortona. It was in Alessandra's home, which made it very comfortable and relaxed. She was very humorous and down-to-earth and fun to talk to. I could relate to many of her life experiences. But most of all she knew how to cook Italian! She made it seem so easy. We had a... More

As part of a wine and cooking tour to Italy, we spent a day at Alessandra's home. She is authentic, down-to-earth and a gifted chef! No matter your level of culinary skills (or lack of!), you will find yourself immersed in the process of making a delicious meal. The time goes quickly as Alessandra shares stories of Italy, her life... More

If you are looking for a cooking class that comes with many extras, this is the one. Alessandra starts your preparation for the day with cappuccinos so she can meet everyone and they her and discuss menu possibilities. Then off to the markets to select the ingredients and a short drive to her home. As you become absorbed by her... More

My husband and I spent Oct 27 with Alessandra. She is such a knowledgeable chef. We learned about choosing meat, poultry, eggs, and produce to acquire the finest ingredients to achieve maximum flavor of our food. Alessandra worked with us to develop the day's menu to accommodate our food interests and techniques we were hoping to learn. She answered every... More

It was wonderful to be in a cooking class at somebody's house and feel like a part of a family. She was extremely personable, sharing her knowledge. Loved her food and the house, would recommend to anyone in or near Cortona. Will definitely be back! Grazie Alessandra!

I was traveling with 3 other friends and we had already been to Florence, Rome and toured Tuscany and gone on a Chianti wine tour. Cortona was our last stop before heading back to the USA. We met Alessandra in the morning at a cafe and over cappuccino, we planned our day. From there we went shopping at the various... More

I'm really not sure what more I could add to the 158+ "Excellent" reviews that Alessandra already has. We did this back on Oct 12 2015 during our Italy visit, and it was amazing. Whenever we travel, we always try and take a cooking class, and this one was probably the most fun ever. The day started with the group... More

Alessandra Federici offers a unique experience, in that she welcomes you into her home to cook and spend the day. After shopping for food, with a stop to watch the olives being pressed to oil, we spent the day laughing, learning, cooking and eating with Alessandra. After living in Italy for three years, I have done many cooking courses, but... More
