We met with Alessandra in the piazza, we were instantly put at ease by her warmth and humour. We went to the local butcher, grocer and produce store, everywhere we went people greeted Alessandra like a long lost friend, and I felt like we were in the presence of someone very special. We soon learnt that Alessandra Federici's Cucina Cooking... More

Ahhhhh! Crazy Aussies!! This is a class that is hard to forget! At my house and at your beautiful rental (even if with an oven that needed two engineering degrees to operate!) I would love to come and cook in your beautiful country...who knows! In the mean time call me when you're back. It will be triple fun! More

I attended Alessandra's cooking class on May 25, 2015 it was an all day experience of cooking and everyday life in Italy. We met in town that morning and had coffee and got to know the group. We then stopped at the butcher shop to pick up the meats for the day. The butcher shop was exceptionally clean and the... More

More colourful than Gordon Ramsay, more skilful than Jamie Oliver and more sexy than Nigella. Our day spent with Alessandra would have to be the highlight of our trip in Italy so far. Her enthusiasm, warmth, friendship and not to forget her fabulous culinary skills were amazing. From when we met at the piazza at 9.30am to when we were... More

What a wonderful way to spend a day in Tuscany! We met Alessandra and our group in town and got to know each other over coffee. We then proceeded to the butcher shop and to a nearby co-op to buy the produce for the day's meal. Alessandra brought us to her home, which is charming; we could not have felt... More

We absolutely loved Alessandra's class. We shopped, swapped stories, cooked, drank some wine, cooked some more, ate our delicious creations. It was a great day. It ended up that we were the only group in the class that day. And since it was only us, we got her undivided attention. We got to make changes to the menu, made little... More

I was blessed with the opportunity to meet Alessandra Federici on a recommendation from a fellow traveler. We actually confused our dates and Alessandra graciously accommodated us the following day. We met at the designated location in town centre and then we went on a food tour through the market, acquiring all ingredients required for our menu preparation later that... More

We wanted to spend a day getting a real Taste of Italy and so a cooking class sounded like a good idea. We certainly got more than we bargained for. My wife and I met Alessandra for coffee and met the rest of our "team" for the day. After shopping at various stores and co-ops, we were driven to her... More

The best holiday experience ever! Would be very good value at twice the price. Alessandra is a terrific chef and educator. She connects with everyone in the group, welcomes you into her home, teaches you more about Italy, Cortona, Food, Wine and Cookery than you could have imagined possible and sends you off replete. Authentic, funny, family, friendly. I would... More

Eight of us just finished a wonderful experience together with our new friend, Alessandra! She was so informative and engaging, we walked away with stories and insights about Cortona, Italy .... And the country of Italy ... In addition to the genuine passion and techniques for authentic Italian cuisine. We loved starting our day with a Coffee, and wandering thru... More

It's actually been a few years since I was in Cortona with my friends, but since I'm about to make homemade pasta tonight, all thanks to Alessandra, I thought I'd finally write a review. If you sign up to spend a day with this special lady, you will not regret it. I will admit, my friends were the ones who... More
