A group of 8 family members had a 3-hour walking tour of central Siena with Viviana Girola in the afternoon of August 11th. She was friendly, knowledgeable and spoke excellent English (very helpful since we knew only scattered words in Italian). She provided a great introduction to the city. As we were there the week that the Palio was taking... More

My sister and I had one day to see Siena. We spent a half day with Viviana and she was excellent! It was definitely worth paying for a tour guide to get to hear all of the history of the city and see so many interesting things that we never would have found without her. I would definitely recommend Viviana... More

Last week we (family of 6 including my mom who is 70 and my three children ages 9 to 13) took a day trip to Siena from Rome and took a half day tour with Viviana. It had always been my mom's dream to visit Siena. I didn't want to take a chance that we could do it justice all... More

When staying in Florence , let one day to have a nice trip to Siena . Everything in this village is ART . From the coloured lamposts on the ancient walls , to the original buildings . Traffic is restricted , so vans from tours or private cars have to park outside the city . You have a main street... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of Siena with Viviana. She was so attentive to our needs, allowing us to rest in the shade while she got tickets or maps for us. She provided meaningful narrative inside the Duomo and the pace was good with enough stops to rest from the hilly streets. She took us through some back streets... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of Siena with Viviana. We included a visit inside the Duomo with her and it was so much more meaningful than just going in on your own. The pace was good with enough stops to rest from the hilly streets. Her commentary throughout was excellent - we used headphones so she could talk during... More

My adult family and I were challenged relative to limited time that we had for our vacation together. Siena was a definite must. And I now can state another definite "must;" that of having a Siena tour from Viviana. In addition to being friendly and accommodating, Viviana is knowledgable and a wise choice for seasoned travelers who wish to effectively... More

We hired Federica for a private two-hour walking tour of Siena. She is a lovely person, very warm and knowledgeable. A private guide can be an expensive luxury, but well worth mixing in with group tours and self-guided walks in order to get the most out of a visit to Tuscany. If your budget allows, and Federica is available, we... More
