Here you find a shingle beach and the Lido della Pigna serves nice food. The place is a smallish cove with an exclusive hotel at one end. A few small boats offer 45 minute excursions (25 euro each) to Isola Bella, Naxos Bay the Blue Grotto etc. We found it well worth the money and our guide Enzo was excellent... More

Small shingle beach with an even smaller public area to one side, but reasonably clean. Had a dip and a boat ride which was what we wanted. Unfortunately the cablecar down from Taormina was out of action, with a rather tedious replacement bus service instead.

Picturesque bay with several Lidos (private beach clubs with sun chairs for rent). Small, at times crowded free beach to the left/north where also the excursion boats land.

Loved this little slice of heaven beach area below the town of Taormina. great place to hang. Lots of restaurants/cafes. Very close to the cable car lift up to town. Water was too chilly for my like, but it was the first week in June. However many were swimming. You can hire boats for a 50 minute spin around coast... More

Hotel Villa Angela suggested this lido and it was perfect for my family. My kids loved the water there and we even took a short one-hour tour of the beaches nearby. Didn't have lunch there -- we went next door to the Sant'Andrea and it was lovely. Alll in all a great day and break from the August heat.

The beach is really cute, the water is limpid and cristal clear, unfortunately the town is expensive for what it is, pity because it could be a small retreat where relax. Our hotel just in front of the sea is very bland but nice people though services are very average.

Came down here for a 'beach day' when staying near Taormina. The cable car from town is 3 euros each way so that's 12 euros both ways for a couple. The sunbeds were 5 euros each for the day which is ok if you're going to spend quite a while there & we had use of showers & changing rooms... More

We came to the beach in the spring time so there wasn't the summer vibe to the beach. It was relatively empty and even though it was off season it was still fairly clean especially compared to other Sicilian beaches during the off season. I prefer sandy beaches myself but my husband likes pebbled beaches best as he doesn't like... More

T he beach near the Gondola station was mostly taken up with loungers and umbrellas for the restaurants and hotels which lined the back of the beach At 10euros it was fine if you wanted to spend all day there but expensive if you wanted a quick swim. The Dolphin restaurant had a lovely terrace for coffee and down on... More
