We did a day trip to Etna with Davide on one of his '360' tours. We went with another lovely couple from Brazil as well and had a brilliant day. Davide is a fantastic guide who has both immense knowledge and passion for Etna and the surrounding area. Davide took us on a hike away from the mass tourist trails,... More

On May 22nd, we spent a wonderful day with Davide from Continente Sicilia making the ETNA 360º tour out of Taormina. We also enjoyed the pleasant company of a very nice couple from the UK (Alie and Robbie). Davide is the ideal guide because he not only dominates the subject he is talking about but he truly has a passion... More

My friend and I had a brilliant day out with the very passionate and knowledgeable Davide - what he doesn't know about Etna isn't worth knowing. The best bonus was how excited Davide was when he found a rare "lava bomb". Just watching the way Davide will stop to pick up a rock to investigate it is amazing. We did... More

We made a trip to Sicily in August 2014. We had had only a week to enjoy this curious island, that is why we had constrained ourself only to two places. At first we visited Palermo and then we decided to get on the Etna. After 6 months after this travel, I can say for sure, that without "Continente Sicilia"... More

We met Davide in port and quickly shuffled us to a personal driver (cannot remember his name) who drove us up to Mt. Etna. Once parked at the foot of the lava flow, we started our hike. Davide is extremely knowledgeable about the history, behavior and geological issues of Mt. Etna. You can tell he has a deep passion for... More

We had decided to end our exploration of Sicily in Taormina but hadn't booked a trip up Etna, thinking we wouldn't have time. However, the beautiful sight of the mountain capped with snow from our hotel terrace was too much to resist. Our very helpful hotel receptionist tried several tour operators, but all were fully booked. However, he had a... More

The day before we arrived in Sicily the temperature was 28. All bode well for our visit to Etna the following day, pre-arranged with Davide from Cotinente Sicila. Then, overnight it snowed! It was not possible to get up Etna and Davide very kindly rearranged our trip for the next day. Although there was still snow the road up was clear... More

We found it really difficult to find genuine impartial advice on how to visit Etna, but were determined not to join an expensive, generic group tour following the same old tourist routes. Continente Sicilia luckily avoided all that, and planned the day around what we wanted out of it, adapting as the day went on around the weather. In fact... More

Couldn't recommend using Continente Sicilia enough. Davide is a gentleman and shows a real passion in what he does. His knowledge of the mountain is beyond impressive and his love of what he does makes the tour a real privilege to be part of. We spent half day on Etna then half day at Gambino Winery with Davide. A fantastic... More

My wife and I toured Mt. Etna with Davide for about 4 hours and then talked about the volcano while enjoying lunch at Rifugio Citelli on the mountain. His explanation of what we were seeing and the history of Mt. Etna was exactly what we were hoping to get. The walks he took us on were not too long and... More
