Working our way through the labyrinth like narrow streets, we made our way to the the Giardini. They offered a sheltered pleasant stroll away from the heat with lovely views of the bay.

One of the highlights of the visit , and it is free. Beautiful subtropical plants, old pine trees. Vistas over the Bay of Naxos to Mount Etna. Put this on your itinerary.

In Taormina, where tourism is often reduced to its lowest common denominator, these gardens are a breath of heaven. Beautifully planted with majestic century-old trees, carefully planned beds where less is more and unusual follies built from wood, brick and mosaics round every corner, tinkling fountains and water spouts, this is a wonderful place to wander for a few hours,... Wow - really beautiful garden in an English style with fantastic views over the sea. We felt one of the best places to visit in Taormina. Simply lovely especially on sunny day.

This hidden gem offered tree-lined paths with hidden alcoves of animals (don't miss the parrots!) and building structures from the original design. A pleasant place to stroll and catch your breath.

This garden is lovely and absolutely well worth a stroll around - the sculpture of two winged lovers, the topiary, the beautiful follies and of course the view all make for a delightful place full of calm. Although we visited in early spring when the weather was quite pleasant, I could imagine this would be a lovely cool place to... More

Taormina in general, and Corso Umberto in particular, can seem very crowded however this public park, which affords beautiful views both day and night, is a peaceful escape from the maddening crowd. It is well worth exploring, if only to see the various follies, the war memorial, together with artillery piece and torpedo, and the bust of Czar Nicholas II... More
