We went for an excursion and were taken out by a total character called Salvatore. He had us in fits of giggles with all his knowledge. With my limited smattering of Italian and his limited smattering of English we got on just fine. He brought us into a cave and took us up and down the coast - the scenery...

CARMELO IS THE BEST WHEN IT COMES TO BOAT EXCURSIONS!!!!
He welcomed me and he allowed me to do a private excursion! He showed me Isola Bella, the Mazzaro' Bay and all the Taormina coast. We then stopped and he gave me time to get off the boat and do some snorkeling.

While visiting Mazzaro beach, my family and I were solicited by an enterprising young man to go on a boat tour of the Taormina coastal area, bays, islands and beaches (Isola Bella, Grotta Azzura, Letojanni, Mazzaro Bay). After some discussion, we decided to go on the tour and we were extremly glad that we did!! The excursion was absolutely fabulous...
