Great experience. After exchanging some mails with Eddy we got a good feeling. Natalie picked us up to Etna. Short break for a Sicilian breakfest and heading to vulcano. Nice and open person, we pratically said what we want to do. We decide on a 2 hour walk with great views. After that, a perfect combination, we went to 2... More

We chose the Etna-Alcantara tour and it was one of the best days of our entire vacation. Our guide “Eddy Junior” was an excellent ambassador of the Taormina area. He shared an impressive knowledge of the recent and historical geological activity Mt Etna. But even more importantly in our minds, he had a real connection with the surrounding area and... More

We spent a great day picked up at 9am from our hotel in Taormina and then a full day with a very knowledgable guide up and down mount etna and the late afternoon trip to Alcantra gorge Excellent lunch at a farmhouse with beautiful fresh home made food, wine from their vineyard and a taste of their home produced Limoncello... We did the full-day 'Etna Off Road Alcantara' Trip. We were lucky to share the trip with only two other couples and of course Eddy himself who is fluent in many different languages and what seems to me is a walking encyclopedia who has a wealth of knowledge not only about the history and surrounding plant life of Mount Etna... We were picked up at 08.30 by Eddy. This was a brilliant day which started with a drive through volcanic villages on the way to Etna. Information about the reason and formation of vulcanos was fascinating and really gave us valuable insight into the area. We saw the lava flows of different ages and explored the craters on the trek.... More

Will never forget the amazing day 4 of us spent on a private tour with Eddy who brought Etna and Sicily to life. The day began at 08.30 and ended at 19.00, we were absolutely exhausted not just physically but emotionally from the experience of seeing such amazing geography and mentally from taking in so much fascinating information. This active... More

We were on a cruise and it was really spectacular to wake up and find Mount Etna as the backdrop. We were docked in Catania and booked an excursion to Taormina. We decided not to go to the top of Etna, so were transported by coach for about an hour to reach our destination. On the way we had spectacular... More

We spent a fantastic day touring around Etna. Our guide Eddy is by far the most knowledgeable guide I've ever met. He is an archeologist with passion for vulcanos, and I could praise him, but no need, just read the other reviews. Our tour included visits to villages close to Etna, lava caves, trekking, lunch at Rifugio Ragabo and Alcantara... More

The first time I visited Sicily I was thrilled just to see Etna smoking gently in the distance. On my second visit I wanted someone to take me beyond the picture-postcard view of the volcano and so signed up, together with my husband and children (aged 19 and 17), for the Etna-Alcantara off-road excursion. Boy, was that a great decision.... More
