We were on a cruise ship, with a stop in Messina. We arranged for the "Unknown Sicilian Villages around Etna and Taormina" tour, and were not disappointed. Our guide was Fabio, and he was entertaining, very informative, and very passionate about Sicily. Our tour first stopped at the Alcantara Gorges, where the river has carved through old lava and rock... More

We had just one day to see as much as we could of the area around Messina where our ship docked. I found Sicily Life Tours on the internet and quickly realised that they could help us. My husband has limited walking and through emails to the ever efficient Anna a tour of Taormina and the surrounding area to suit... More

Three of us stayed in Giardini Naxos for a week at the end of September. We wanted to see a few things whilst in Sicily so contacted SL as we did not want to do the tour bus thing! We opted for a full day in Palermo and a half day village/God father tour. Both drivers arrived on time in... More

Having visited Sicily via cruise ship we wanted to spend some real time getting to know the island better. After searching we found Sicly Life to help us. Anna answered our many questions while we were planning the trip--both via email and phone calls. We were met at the airport and well taken care of for two weeks. Milena Visconti... More

Gianni (hope I spelt it right) was our driver for our day tour from cruise ship to Mt Etna and Taormina and back. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and enabled a very smooth experience of the volcano as well as an interesting pit stop on the way. We got to taste olives and honey and also bought some of... For the first port of call on our cruise, we were met promptly by Antonio and whisked away towards Mt. Etna. On the way we stopped at a local village, Zafferana, for photos then on to family farm to try some honey, olives, wine and olive oil. From there it was up to Mt Etna (take a jacket) where it... For our one port day in Messina we did the Grand Tour of Etna with the brunch/wine tasting with Sicily Life Tours. It was marvelous! I am probably butchering his name, but Dominico was our wonderful guide. He met our group of 6 at the pier as we began our trek to Mt. Etna. We were given enlightening commentary on... More

We did a one day Etna trek with Marcello and it was the highlight of our two weeks in Sicily. He started with food tasting in this delightful store full of cheeses salamies and olives. Then we saw one of the Madonna grottos praying to the heavens for no more lava, checked out some caves and then the amazing hike... More

Tour company is Genius Loci, Tours of Italy. Guide was Peter. Eight woman, 9 days. Palermo, Segesta, Cefalu, Mt. Etna, Taromina, Siricusa, and much more. Please pardon the spelling, I'm on "jet lag " time. Peter made a personal itinerary to suit our interests, very diverse, and needs. The trip was packed with sights, activities, hiking, shopping, and eating, as... More
