Mondello is a gorgeous little beach town. White sand and crystal clear waters. They have a great bar on the sand that plays good music and there are loads of great seafood restauraunts and icream places to pick from. Nice little market stalls along the beach too. I remember this place as a child but was disappointed at just how it has been destroyed by cheap tourism. I had to go back for my memories but have no wish to return. Unfortunate, I learnt to swim at this beach. More

I was in Mondello four years ago, I will be sad if it becomes a tourist trap like so many other places I have visited. The uniqueness of this town was its difficulty to get to though very close to central Palermo. I hope it will maintain its small town local feeling. More

We were eating lunch at Antico Chiosco in Mondello. Wonderful! We were six people. Pasta with sardines, swordfish rolls, caponata, beer and water. We paid just over $ 50.
