It is definitely one of the key attractions in Palermo. The middle of it represents the biggest, richly decorated fountain in town, around old medieval noble houses and two must-see churches: San Giovanni and, opposite it, the medieval Sta Catarina.

The best about Piazza Bellini is not what it is but what it accomodates: the Santa Catarina Church ( all baroque and out there) opposite the older, Saraceaninfluenced three domed La Cataldo. Practical tip - if you visit La Cataldo first the ticket there will give you discounts to Palazzo dei Normani.
Great for a traditional pizza and "bellini". Good location and reasonably priced.
We happened upon this whilst walking past to another destination. It was spectacular and one of the prettiest man-made sights in Palermo. A nice space that seemed worlds apart from the busy, dirty streets nearby.
This was a lovely little piazza in the center of the city. There was renovation work going on when my girlfriend and I visited, so we didn't get the perfect Piazza Bellini experience. But it's a very beautiful spot and definitely worth visiting.
Liked the story of how scandalous the nude statues were when it was finished.
Near by this piazza, there are many churches and top sights to see: Quattro Canti, churches: Santa Caterina, La Martorana, San Cataldo, theater Bellini, Il Gesu. A beautiful and wonderful during the day and illuminated at night.
