Teatro Massimo Bellini is one of my favorite theaters, more than the theaters in Napoli, Budapest, and even Vienna! Purchasing tickets can be tricky (many things here are not arranged... More

We attempted to visit the Teatro Massimo Bellini in late June 2015, but unfortunately there was a sign on the door saying 'no guided tours until further notice'. We were disappointed that it was closed, but the outside was stunning and we admired it from the square in front and a nearby cafe.

The theatre is beautiful from the outside and is simply amazing on the inside. You have to join a tour in order to see the insides and it is worth every penny of it (only €5 for an hour tour). The theatre tour is not available on some days, so do check their website before going. Our tour guide speaks... More

The theatre is wonderful outside and inside. It is extremely reach of decorations, fantastic walls outside and unforgetable paints inside, in the roof. When the opera start we understand that also the orchersta of Teatro Massimo Bellini is an excelllence. Congratulation to the people of the city to own this magic reality!

A theatre whose facade and location is unique. It is set in a pedestrian area and its Catanese architecture makes it one of the most imposing. It is, however, in need of a thorough restoration on the outside!
