Very nice Castle on the coast very nice during summer, with lots of water activities taking place near it. Also nice for a stroll by the sea and dining al fresco.

It was a great surprise to find a magnificent Norman castle in the sea coast of Sicily. The square just in front of it has a beautiful view of the coast and the blue Sicilian sea and sky. Amazing

Situated on the water, but separated from the more crowded and noisy Acitrezza, this is a nice town to relax in. The castle is nice to visit, and there are several stairways that take you to the ocean. I recommend you bring ocean shoes to walk on the hot and rough lava rock. The water is very clear and cool.

Well worth a visit. Work up a thirst visiting the castle and then in the square at the bottom, were some of the best ice cream and cocktails I have tasted.

Quiet and not much to see. The old castle was okay. Not worth to drive ekstra for to see. But if you are near by then is's okay.

Very impressive. Lots of bars and restaurant round parking is a little hectic. Don't wear flip flops

It's well worth the visit , but keep expectations in perspective. The castle is interesting as is the surrounding area , both for the local myths and fact! Nice sea front to have a stroll and a local drink and take in the coastal scenery .

We took the 534 AMT bus from Piazza Borsellino (you can get the tickets in any tabacchi shop for €1). It takes around 45 minutes but you're gonna see it when you are there, so don't freak out and leave the bus before like we did. The bus to go back takes really long to pass by, though, and we... We liked the Castle which was very good and not too tiring when climbing the many steps. There are not too many restaurants let alone good ones. To avoid drink and driving means having to walk a lot.
