Beautiful, quiet beach town with good snorkeling. Most shop owners did not speak English but were incredibly friendly/helpful and patient with us. I recommend purchasing snorkel gear (we got 2 nice masks and 2 snorkels for under 30 euros) and getting in the water. There are some beautiful lava rock reefs and islands to swim around. Lots of fish and... More

This village is small but bustling in the evening. The whole promenade is full of people and children walking dogs or riding bikes. Many streets are one way and a GPS would be of great benefit. The promenade is alive at night but in the morning Coffee or Brioche and Granite is the calling for breakfast. these cafes are in... More

It's one of the most beautiful part in Catania. Historically important for many books and movies located there. It's a little village of fishermens. ENJOY IT!

Walking around Aci Castello Coast line was pleasant.. Its a typical Sicily place where there isnt sandy beach but just rocks.. Many locals there..Also, I paid 3euro to go up to the castle.. Good view but nothing much.. I spent only 30 minutes there...

Quite a lendmark for this area. It is nice to take pictures both from the street level as well as from the top of the Castello. WARNING If start climbing up and want to enter the castello, be prepared to find a ticket booth the top. Ticket costs 3 EURO. So, if you climbed up then you do not have... More

Just a few miles north of the city of Catania. Beautiful coastline & marina dominated by ruins of the prominent old Castle from where the name derives.

I liked the view and there are three or four nice hotels along the shore. There is very little beach, mostly just lava flows into the sea but our hotel was built on one of these and it was unique and well done. Other than that most of the trip was back in catania as the city is limited.
