Quiet and not much to see. The old castle was okay. Not worth to drive ekstra for to see. But if you are near by then is's okay.

Very impressive. Lots of bars and restaurant round parking is a little hectic. Don't wear flip flops

It's well worth the visit , but keep expectations in perspective. The castle is interesting as is the surrounding area , both for the local myths and fact! Nice sea front to have a stroll and a local drink and take in the coastal scenery .

We took the 534 AMT bus from Piazza Borsellino (you can get the tickets in any tabacchi shop for €1). It takes around 45 minutes but you're gonna see it when you are there, so don't freak out and leave the bus before like we did. The bus to go back takes really long to pass by, though, and we... We liked the Castle which was very good and not too tiring when climbing the many steps. There are not too many restaurants let alone good ones. To avoid drink and driving means having to walk a lot.

This is a wonderful castle on a volcanic beach. I took our kids there because they wanted to go to the beach and it wasn't really beach weather. This gave them something different to see and experience. Bring some water shoes and some band-aids so you can explore the shoreline, it will be more than worth it!

The little town of Acicastello is what you expect to see when you visit the island of Sicily. Nice seaside, with a huge promontory where a big castle lie on top, good spot for a refreshing ice-cream. There are also couple of lovely fish restaurants nearby.
