We arrived late - could not find the opening hours on the web - so we did a 15 minutes visit, but did not have to pay! Meny cactuses as it was mentioned earlier and a few really exotic and interesting plants, but some parts are a bit less taken care of.

Nice layout and if you're into cactuses you'll probably have the time of your life. Lots of other succulents as well . Absolutely pleasant for a quiet afternoon in the shade and not too crowded either.

Well laid out, interesting exhibits, plants and tree species - nice cool areas to shelter in on hot days - very pleasant to walk around - we spoke with one of the managers and it struck me it was one of the lesser visited attractions - but for me - well worth half a day!

As the title says - lots of succulents. I could have used more posted information on the plants. But it is nicely laid out and kept in excellent condition.

I would've loved to spend more time there but got so bitten up by mosquitoes (just sitting on a bench) had to leave after 15 minutes. My legs and arms completely bitten. Shame. It really looked like a little piece of heaven.

My partner and I went through the gardens, was a nice stroll through them looking at all the different plants. The entry fee was 6 euros for two people, the cacti was the best part.

We really liked being able to see native plants and being able to chat with someone who knew about them. Good to see the gardens being used by hordes of noisy schoolchildren!

This small Botanical Garden is located in the heart of Catania between Via Etnea and Via Antonino Longo, and is now hemmed in by high-rise apartment buildings that over-look it. This prevents any expansion of the site. Easiest access is to take the Metro train to Borgo, and to walk downhill on Via Etnea to the garden's gates on your... More

This was close to our hotel, the San Max, but the entrance is on a parallel street. What a lovely place ; so many plants and trees from all over the world, impressive fountains, birds singing. You could spent an enjoyable hour here for 6 euro for 2 tickets, 4 euro for 1.
