You can easily miss the entrance, or even miss this wonderful experience. It is not a drug-store in modern sense at all! The old authentic premices of that pharmacy with several halls, each featuring different products - perfumes, food supplements, etc. Definitely worth visiting, up to 5 min walking from St Maria Novella. Be prepared to be tempted to buy... More

A highly recommended stop off that isn't going to tear into your wallet and extract your euros. Unless you buy something of course. You go through a fairly nondescript doorway and the place just unfolds; rooms upon rooms all scented to the ceiling, a mixture of museum and high class parfumerie with a very chic little cafe and florist for... This was our second visit to this marvellous museum and working perfumery where you can pick up a huge range of natural, organic skincare products, deliciously scented perfumes, herbal tinctures and supplements. It's a little difficult to find at first - no huge signs outside advertising what it is - but inside it is like stepping back in time to... More

We found this place quite by accident as we were walking back to our hotel from the church. Glad we did as it was filled with historyand a nice set-up. The perfumes are nice and the staff extremely helpful in trying to find the right scent. Spend some time reading about the history and strolling through the different rooms. We... More

My friends and I had read about this Farmacia and had planned to make a quick stop in (more of curiosity). It turned out that it is located very near the apartment we had rented. This 600 year old pharmacy is an interesting place - part museum and part shop, there are brief historical notes explaining what things are, products... More

Well worth visiting---a 600 year old "pharmacy"---with lots of skin care items and elixirs. Off the beaten track, but a step back in time.
