Spectacular view

The tower itself is very similar to the Elephant tower, with some interesting history. But the main reason to visit it is the spectacular view from the top.

The Torre dell'Elefante is one of two twin towers looking over Cagliari, and this one allows you to climb wooden stairs up to the top level, where you will be rewarded by views across Castello and beyond.

You pay 3 euro's, then you walk up the stairs, then you take a few pictures, then you come down. Don't trip on the stairs as there is a good chance you will die.

We were in Cagliari for a couple of hours disembarking from MSC Preziosa. We reserved the Hop on Hop off bus and had a 2 hour wait. So we sat in the square, the kids enjoyed themselves. I headed towards the elevator just because I saw people going there. Going up I saw this tower and it was tall and... More

We were reluctant to visit this tower as we thought it was not worth it, it is more than 100 very steep steps... My oldest daughter and I decided to go for it and it was completely worth it. We arrived at the top out of breath but the view is really something. We took a lot of photos and... More

This tower is based inside the old castle of Cagliari, in the high part of the city. Arrive here is really a good training!!! Paying just some euros you can go upstairs and see the amazing view of the sea and of all the city! I recommend it

You'll have to pay EUR 3 Adults or EUR 2 Students. But in my opinion it is worth it! You'll have to climb some steep latters and will be rewarded with a fantastic view over Cagliari! You can see the port / airport and old town of the City! Good place to be, not many people up there!
