The "Torre dell'Elefante" is one of the two towers overlooking the city of Cagliari, the closest to the seaside. Accompanied by well prepared guides you'll get the chance to know more about the plan and development of the tower and the evolution of the city itself. Spectacular views on the gulf and on the streets surrounding the tower are other... More

The Elephant Tower of the old castle part of the city is amazing. The price was €3 a ticket and the climb was fairly easy. The tower is a typical three sided gate tower and is still completely intact. From the top you can see the entire city and the majority of the cities landmarks.

Can only rate it 5 star, as it is historical. It is possible to walk to the top by climbing the stairs. There are 2 draw bridge type portcullis gates that protect the road to the old town of Cagalairi from I guess those coming from the sea in times of old. The amazing thing is it is still there... It costs to go up but the view is really nice. Good place to relax and take some photos. Not a must however.

The ascend to reach this tower was a real torture. Our cruise ship docked in Cagliari and we decided to go uphill from the port on foot. When we saw the tower, we had to go up for an additional while to reach it. And then, the 4 flights of steep stairs fully left us out of breath. However, when... More

This was meant to keep unwanted people out. Before going up, walk through the gate to admire the defensive system. The tower is open at the back so you can see just how many stairs you need to climb. The history is particularly gruesome!

A marvelous city seeing. You can have a panoramic view over the roofs of the city and enjoy the port traffic. The entrance ticket of 3 euros may be somehow expensive for only that.

A nice monument, symbol of the city. You can go up there, and have a great view of Cagliari! Don't need to pay a fee.

Personally, I have enjoyed this one more than Il Castello. I liked more the view than in the other one. Because in some levels you are at the same level with buildings. For girls, I won't suggest you to wear a skirt or a dress. There is windy.
