Poetto is a very long beach. When coming by bus, leave at the first stop, think it's called Gorgone. Decent priced ;sunbeds, umbrella. Free shower, free changing room. Beach cafe with a good selection of panini, coffees, drinks etc Possible to rent canoes and pedal boats.

Poetto is lined with kiosk bars, some small, some large, there's quite a few very classy, modern bars in a lounge style, so a great place for breakfast, lunch or relaxing in the evening. The only downside can be that from time to time, the Mediterranean wind picks up and makes it less attractive. On most days it's fantastic place... More

I saw that in 2011 someone had posted that the beach bars were demolished. NO LONGER! Tons of lovely beach bars all along the strand. I particularly liked the panini and Spritzes at La Palma. Great spot!

We took a walk along the beach early May. Beach cafe's did not look very attractive and buildings were really ugly concrete monsters. Maybe sunshine and loads of beach umbrella's will change the atmosphere but it did not look very promising now.

What a great place to spend time. Lots happening on the water and off it. Never a dull moment and the bus connections from the rest of town are so easy to use, no reason not to go.

It is very easy to reach Poetto beach from city centre. You have to take a PF or PQ line from Piazza Matteotti and ride for about 10-15 minutes. However, this beach is pretty crowdy, so I suggest you better take ARST ride to Pula or Villassimus.

A very nice sandy beach to visit while you are in the city. Admiring its clear blue water and stopping in one of the cafes to have a snack or lunch even better. It was a sunny day in April with many people around enjoying one of the most beautiful beaches of Cagliari. Highly recommended for families and friends, ther's... More
