We absolutely loved this beach! It is incredibly long, has bars everywhere which offer lunch, drinks, icecreams and cocktails + services such as umbrellas and chairs you can rent. The only downside is that we could not find any toilets but we asked entry in one of the small bars. What I found interesting is that the locals recommended other... More

This is the closest beach you will find from Cagliari city centre. Easy to reach by bus from Piazza Matteotti, or by car, as plenty of parking is provided. The beach has many amenities from beach volley areas, kids areas, football as well as surfing, kite and many more sea sports activities can be practiced and organised. Bars and Restaurants... More

The Cagliari's side is more fitted with restaurants or kiosks. In summertime it's quite busy in the night time as well. The water is very clear especially after the mistral blows the algae away... The view from the little harbor (called Marina Piccola) is really amazing and the restaurants are really nice. At lunch time they serve the Seafood (very fresh) in a very easy way and you can take a sit suspending for a while your sunbath and eat, wearing your swimwear directly as you come from the beach. Three stars is my... More

One of the biggest beaches. At the beginning of the beach there are different types of umbrellas and beds that you can rent. Each color of umbrellas differ with a price. The more expensive one are blue umbrellas and less expensive orange ones, that are located next to the green ones. The service and stuff is good. I liked more... More

This is the main Cagliari beach and all the locals use it frequently. What that means is that the first 50m of the beach are completely packed, but the rest is practically empty. There are small beach bars every so meters so it's good if you want refreshments to get away from the sun. Don't expect any shade though, so... More

Poetto is a district of Cagliari. You can easily take a bus from the downtown area to get to any number of bus stops along the VERY long beach at Poetto. The water is warm, clean, with modest waves, and the people are all there to have a good time. I went every day and loved every minute of it.

The beach is fine but that said is nothing special but the number of people on the beach was horrendous. We were there on a Wednesday in early July and as a family of 6 had approx 3 square metres of space to ourselves.... We were literally packed as tight as sardines..... Give this one a miss... There are so... More

this beach is very near to the city center, with easy access and service options. Along this beach there are several kiosks where during the day has service of bar and restaurants and overnight several night clubs and fun options

We visited Poetto on four seperate occasions, once on the public beach, twice to D'Aguilla lido and once to La Lido. Although a little pricey the facilities at the lidos are excellent (umbrella, sunbeds, showers, etc.) and the beach itself is in a wonderful position, catching a lot of sun, with access to the Mediterranean sea.
