Very nice and long beach. We where here in May so it was really empty. It was quite and peaceful and felt like we are in our personal beach. :)

This is Cagliari's seaside. It's a 15/20 minute bus ride from the city centre. You may be best staying on the bus for about half a mile once it reaches the beach as there are a lot of members-only clubs at the city end. We went on a hot Sunday morning and it was very busy, but the beach itself... More

Been there a view times... Clean with torquoise water... A nice place to skip the busy work... Too bad the bathroom is dirty... Overall is great!

We visited in May 2015 and currently the area is bit of a building site. The road next to the beach is closed and littered with building rubble; it looks as though they're resurfacing the road and building a new pavement (only half of which is currently finished). There are a few derelict buildings along the way (and even on... More

The Poetto is Cagliari's city beach where all the locals go when they feel the need to soak up the sun and top up that golden Mediterrenean tan. A number of kiosks and bars are dotted along the way so you will never go thirsty. The closest section to the city (Prima Fermata) is the trendiest and close to Marina... More

Just 3 km far from the city centre, this beach extends for 9 km, with cycling and running paths, several beach services and restaurants/bars usually open till 2 a.m. (during summer). Anyway, biking/running/walking on the sand during the (numerous) sunny days in winter is a great experience!

We stayed in apatment near the Poetto beach, I we liked it, cause if compare to most beaches in Cagliari provence it's really spacious and good for long walks. Nice for walking in evening and to watch kites playing in the wind. Lots of place to park a car, lots of restaurants and bars. Nice place near Cagliari.

Beautiful views and very relaxing! The water was crystal clear. There are also numerous bars and food locations across the beach to grab a drink. They are all fairly well priced.

Unfortunately the sad was dirty and a lot of dogs and poop. Hard to get to the beach directly and surrounding buildings in decay and 'down at heal'. Summer probably helps it. Needs a major rebirth. Derelict hotels on the beach etc. Wheelchair access is a 'bone to pick' in Sardinia with most facilities!! EU standards?
