Had not been in this church for at least 40 years. Unfortunately when we visited there was a funeral in progress. We were not able to go thru the entire church. The grounds are also lovely

Fantastic church on top of some steps. I recommend it to everyone. It is in the centre of the city and easy to find.

Aside of some nice views, there is not much to see or visit. Well, it is a reminder of rich merchant and naval history, but nothing more than that...

What we found really interesting was the... More

It is said that, in 1370, when a Catalan merchant ship got into trouble, its crew threw overboard its cargo. When a crate carrying a Madonna hit the water, the sea calmed and the ship was saved. We just took an external look when our tour bus drove by. The church was said to be built in 1800 to the right sian old church erected by the Aragonese in 1324-1329.
