The Bastione is quite unique, a majestic stone building standing on the top of one side of Cagliari mid town, it offers rooms for events and on the top square is full of wonderful stunning bars, crowds reverse on it to admire its fantastic far views into the port area, the city itself, the park, reaching all the way to... .Great way to cool off after a day of touring around in the hot sun. We often look for the passagiata areas and of course, in this town it is a natural area along the waterfront.

the view should be wonderful, but because of the works of restoration nothing was at hand...we walked around and got a bit angry because we had to climb a steep hill for nthing actually!

The building itself is not very interesting, but the view of the city is mesmerizing. Cagliari is really beautiful city and this is very good way to enjoy it.

One of the highest points of the city, the Bastione can be reached by road, lift (currently only one of the two lifts is operational while the other one is under restoration), or by steps. Climb up to enjoy the views of this beautiful Sardinian city.

Just an old Bastion! If you a lot in historical things, maybe you could find more...I think for most of tourist it is just an object to pass by...Nothing impressive so far....

A building. Probably quite good, but it seems to be permanently closed, which makes it a bit crap. Can still take poor photos though.

Best view of the city, but still closed on April 20th 2015. You can climb with the elevator or you can use stairs.. Nice walk in the old part of Cagliari on the hill.. Narrow streets, cars driving so you will have to move so that the car manages to pass- but all in all nice walk,

Was looking forward to seeing this site in Cagliari- during our stop on our cruise. After walking uphill from the Fort- we came across Saint Remy- and the chain linked fence- stating that the site was closed for construction/renovation. Very disappointing. Not sure when it will reopen- but as a FYI for viewing.
