Cagliari's cathedral is not placed in a prominent location like most cathedrals, instead it is tucked away and you have to go looking for it specifically. It is worth taking the time and facing the climb to visit the sanctuary.

stabnd high up, quite hidden, beautifull, magical, worth visit, i am not sure if there is some wheelchair access but sow some of them.

Santa Maria Cathedral is located right near Pallazzo Reggio and free of charge, on the road coming down from Museo Archeologico Nazionale. It is worth stopping and relaxing in it's cool interiors, despite not having any tourists in November, simply the locals praying for a better life.
...church. Reach, with fancy golden frescoes. For me was mor impressing the outside Square where this building is set in.
A must see if you are in Cagilaria. A beautiful landmark that is worth a visit to admire the work and artistic value.

happened upon a wedding and was allowed at the back to be part of it . it was lovely.
The cathedral is definitely a must of your visit to the old "castello". Although it's a combination of styles it is quite interesting, particularly the cript.
Well worth the walk up the hill, plenty of interesting features including the three room crypt below. The white marble really reflects the light and makes photography very simple all of mine included were taken with the flash turned off.
