We flew in late afternoon and went downtown. By accident, despite seeing this as a top attraction, we came upon this. The outside coming from the water looking up. The stairs were rather impressive and compared to other churches throughout Italy, especially Cagliari it was immaculate. Also about 50 meters close by was a great lookout over the city and... More

Nice front to the Cathedral but inside is disappointing. Quite ostentatious and crypt is a bit troubling. Nice handwork and nice details but nothing not found in other much nicer cathedrals

This is a beautiful cathedral I just happened to find during my unplanned walk after being dropped off near Piazza dell'Indipendenza by a hop on hop off van. This Roman Catholic cathedral was built in the 13th century but few pieces of the original structure remains. The old façade was demolished in the early 20th century replaced in the 1930s.... More

The cathedral is in an old walled city. It is very impressive. Amazing workmanship in the building of the Cathederal. The statues, pictures and area beneath the church were well worth the visit.

This Cathedral has many elements that are stunning. The pulpit and stage is amazing with all the inlay. The crypt below is quite fantastic and interesting.

Stunning cathedral but a bit of a climb up from the marina. A wedding was taking place during our visit which added to the magic. Beautiful glass windows and the altar is magnificent.

This is a beautiful and historic place of worship at the heart of the old town. It is to be visited and admired for as a place of beauty that has served its population over centuries. Admire the lions at the high altar, but above all visits the crypts.

Don't forget to visit the cript. It is a beautiful church and I never miss Sunday Mass with a lovely choir.

Beautiful interior, from a non religious perspective, very interesting to wander round. Free of charge to enter, small donation asked for if you would like a leaflet.
