I thoroughly enjoyed going to the grotto, Instead of getting a boat trip I drove, its about a 20 min journey from alghero & is well signposted, also the drive, for the best part of it is along the coastline and is very scenic. you can park right by the entrance although I imagine its limited in peak season. there... more

I have to agree with the other reviews, we were in Alghero last year and took a boat trip to the grotto. The sea was actually too rough to get into the caves but they still took us out , just around the bay. Apparently they do this all the time so as not to miss out on your money,... more

We enjoyed the boat trip and the caves were excellent. A lot of people on the tour so you couldn't alway see what the guide was talking about. Very good none the less. Boat 12 Euros, entry 10 Euros more
