The waterfront of Bari was opened in 1927. Along about 15 km had been expanded to connect the Fiera del Levante (opened in 1930). On the waterfront there are in addition to the buildings of the 19th century and the imposing buildings of the fascist regime, the palazzo della Provincia, and as you can see from the picture number 2... Bari was excellent, beautiful seaside, not too many tourists and a quite town. The best restaurant was La Cecchina, amazing food and great service.

We "discovered" the Lungomare after visiting San Nicola Basilica and walking around (lost?) the maze of alleys. Our tired bodies welcomed the sight of the water and the cool air; it was relaxing!

After exploring the narrow alley ways and the churches of the Old town of Bari we enjoyed a leisurely stroll along the sea front.

So many kilometers alongside sea to walk and enjoy many attractions like visiting historical sites like saint nicola basilica, eating ice cream, breathing clean air. You can see modern part of bari on one side, and the old town on the other side.

It's very romantic and perfect for couples. A little cold in March but still very nice. I recommend it with warmth.

It's a great stretch seaside beauty. The boulevard gives you views of the beautiful Adriatic and you can take it all in seated on the benches scattered along it. Pretty lampposts line the walkway. I think the best part of the Lungomare is the section along Old Bari.

Lungomare, is a gorgeous beach front walk over looking the port of bari. It's nice just to walk along here and witness the local way of life and also a very nice way to approach the historical centre!

Lungomare is the water front beautiful avenue along the Adriatic shore of Bari. It is a long avenue around 2.5 taking you from the old town to the newer modern part of Bari. I was fortunate to be there in late September when the weather is a perfect mid to high 70 degrees F.
