Trani is really gorgeous. The port is both a fishing and pleasure boat port, and it has a great atmosphere. The old city is interesting and the Cathedral magnificent.. Don't miss the seaside Villa Communale, a wonderful public garden with a turtle pond and fountain, aviary, and bandstand. Seriously, possibly the best public garden in Italy.

Diificult to find parking especially in the summer evenings but if you do get lucky, then do take the time to have a walk about and enjoy the sights.Wonderful vibrant place to have dinner, a cocktail, a beer or just a walk - day or night!. Suitable for couples, families, friends and even on your own.

Actually, we visited the place by chance. We arrived late at hour hotel and were planning to visit another place, but it was late and we were tired, so we drove for about 40 minutes and arrived at the Lungomare in Trani, and were immediately captivated by this town. The Lungomare is a park by the sea, a few hundred... More

Don't miss to visit this wonderful place on Apulia's adriatic coast, north of Bari. From old little streets facing the harbour till the dramatically masterpiece of Romanic art . the Cathedral - with it's high belltower - all bring you to middle age time. From this port crusaders left to Palestina to move war to muslim in Holylands.

Trani has the most impressive Romanesque church i have seen anywhere. Actually its 3 churches built upon each other. Location is also unusual, right beside the ocean. This was because the place from where the Crusades left for the Middle East. Trani also has a very nice oceanfront promenade.
