Trani is very accessible from Bari Centrale; visitors must be sure to wait at the right platform for short-distance trains. It was raining when we got there but easy enough to imagine how lovely the place would be on better days. The small square with its tree- lined path right in the centre is most unique. Unfortunately the cathedral was... More

It was sunday when we visited that lovely , small italien habour town. Fishers were trying to sell what they catch , so many restaurants, cafe's, small shops, souvenir shop and so beautiful narrow streets. With nice park, cathedral and castle visiting trani is a must.

We found this historical part of Bari really great! Narrow streets, elderly italians sitting and talking on the streets, little shops and bars here and there. It definitely progressed with time, but still has the true italian atmosphere!

Beautiful white stone town centre around a gorgeous harbour, Great food too. Quite a big town with ugly outskirts though and very busy traffic, difficult to negotiate without good map.

This was a lovely little place to visit. We were there early in the morning and the light was beautiful. It was so tranquil walking along the harbour wall but the town was lively and interesting with lots of restaurants and bars. Highly recommended

The old part of Trani was really a surprise. With its white stone buildings in the square, the castle at the edge of the sea, the amazing cathedral and lovely port, an ideal day out. Take a stroll along the marina with its restaurants and bars. Walking along the narrow streets you see the Jewish quarter and the interesting Romanesque... More

My husband and I spent a day at Trani, which is more than enough and it was beautiful, clean and very relaxing, especially when dinning near the marina, food is lovely. I would suggest going during the week, we went on a Sunday and the city was packed with people which makes it harder to find a table in a... More

Trani is simply charming. With a unique setting by the water's edge, its majestic cathedral of San Nicola Pelligrino built of the local dazzling white stone is not to be missed. Everywhere you go, the campanile draws the eye. Photo opportunities abound in all directions. The Chiesa di Ognissanti built by the Knights Templar as a chapel for the adjoining... More
