We paid a casual visit in a bid to catch some cooler air by the sea. As we moved along the sea front we found Trani to be the town of many faces. Try this North to South Walk The Old Town and Fisherman's quay is old and atmospheric particularly as the days catch is sold. This opens up along... More

Wonderful marina - surrounded by bars, restaurants and coffee shops. There is a great public park to the side of it and a beautfiul old church and castle behind it - well worth exploring

25minutes on the train from Bari. A lovely day out. Trani has a gorgeous harbour - it is nice to sit and watch the boats. Lots of good places to eat. The cathedral is lovely and there is a nice park

Having spent two days inland we headed for the sea on our homeward journey and Trani is a most lovely old town and harbour. We had a fantastic lunch in via Statuti Marittimi 6/8 in the harbour at Rosa dei Venti. The Dorado was the best I have ever eaten. Such lovely flavours. We arrived very late in the afternoon... Trani was the place I was most excited to visit before out trip to Puglia because of the breathtaking Cathedral which stretches out into the ocean and I was not disappointed. A lovely town with a large harbour and beautiful park. A must if you are visiting this area of Puglia.

Our first day in the country. We arrived mid afternoon hungry, only to be told restaurants only open at 8. Every thing was closed. part from that, the town is quaint, but not yet ready for foreign tourists. Nobody spoke any English. Or French...Or Spanish ...

Fishermen caught fresh catch of the day, cathedral beautiful near the waters, nice area to sit and relax, beautiful cathedral, took the train from Bari, tourist info closer to the cathedral and was close, about 20 minutes walk from train station.

Trani is very accessible from Bari Centrale; visitors must be sure to wait at the right platform for short-distance trains. It was raining when we got there but easy enough to imagine how lovely the place would be on better days. The small square with its tree- lined path right in the centre is most unique. Unfortunately the cathedral was... More

It was sunday when we visited that lovely , small italien habour town. Fishers were trying to sell what they catch , so many restaurants, cafe's, small shops, souvenir shop and so beautiful narrow streets. With nice park, cathedral and castle visiting trani is a must.
