Beautiful white stone town centre around a gorgeous harbour, Great food too. Quite a big town with ugly outskirts though and very busy traffic, difficult to negotiate without good map.

This was a lovely little place to visit. We were there early in the morning and the light was beautiful. It was so tranquil walking along the harbour wall but the town was lively and interesting with lots of restaurants and bars. Highly recommended

The old part of Trani was really a surprise. With its white stone buildings in the square, the castle at the edge of the sea, the amazing cathedral and lovely port, an ideal day out. Take a stroll along the marina with its restaurants and bars. Walking along the narrow streets you see the Jewish quarter and the interesting Romanesque... More

My husband and I spent a day at Trani, which is more than enough and it was beautiful, clean and very relaxing, especially when dinning near the marina, food is lovely. I would suggest going during the week, we went on a Sunday and the city was packed with people which makes it harder to find a table in a... More

Trani is simply charming. With a unique setting by the water's edge, its majestic cathedral of San Nicola Pelligrino built of the local dazzling white stone is not to be missed. Everywhere you go, the campanile draws the eye. Photo opportunities abound in all directions. The Chiesa di Ognissanti built by the Knights Templar as a chapel for the adjoining... More

My wife and I were holidaying mainly in and around Lecce with its beautiful baroque architecture. On our way back home we stopped off in Trani, a town full of history and architecture nobody visiting Apulia should miss. Trani is no doubt my favourite of Apulian towns and is full of a jewel of wonderful Romanesque architecture which brings together... More

Trani is really gorgeous. The port is both a fishing and pleasure boat port, and it has a great atmosphere. The old city is interesting and the Cathedral magnificent.. Don't miss the seaside Villa Communale, a wonderful public garden with a turtle pond and fountain, aviary, and bandstand. Seriously, possibly the best public garden in Italy.
