Alberobello is a fascinating town, the old part obviously. It has lost some of its magic due to the number of groups of tourists going around that come for the day but is it definitely worth a visit. In winter can be pretty cold but the image of the trulli covered in snow is unearthly! more
A beautiful place with such unique dwellings, perhaps undone slightly by the tacky items on display in virtually every other doorway and window for the tourists, of which there were more than I anticipated. Probably not the place to take children but for adults, particularly those who appreciate photography, it's ideal for a few hours. more
It was a very special expirence to stay in a 400 - 500 years cabin with only one door and one tiny window and right outside where the other tourists walking by and looking inside. The Trullidea is a collection of individual trullo scaterred throughout the town of Alberobello which is a UNESCO world heritage sight.
