This one of the things we planned our vacation around. We had never been to a opera, let alone an outdoor opera. If you had doubts about opera, this is a great place to start your opera experience. My suggestion would be to attend one of which you know the background story. This outdoor opera season is held in the... More

During a one month trip to all of Italy and Sicily, this was the top contender for the best thing we did...and neither one of us are traditional opera fans. We saw "Carmen" and while I had purchased upgraded tickets, I had no idea that we would be seated in the very front row. During the day I was put... More

As we were not attending the opera we decided not to pay €10 to of walk around the empty arena during the day. Instead we returned in the evening and saw the exterior lit up - really atmospheric.

Interesting setting for an art museum. You cross a bridge over a moat (now dry) to experience this original setting. Mostly religious art, definitely worth the visit.

We were lucky enough to go to a show at the Arena - Opera on Ice, a pop and opera on ice spectacular which was brilliant. It was modern, fabulous lighting, costumes totally enjoyable. We went just to go to a show at the Arena because the opera season was already finished when we arrived inVerona but we're not disappointed.... More

Opera in the Roman Arena in Verona is one of life's 'bucket list'. Atmosphere before and after the performance in the Piazza Bra was fantastic. Dress up and make a day/night of it to remember. Hire a cushion and sit as the Romans did 2000 years ago on the stone steps as high up as you can for a superb... More

This was a wonderful location for an opera production. Ticket sales and seating was well organized. We enjoyed the performance and sites inside.

We went to see Aida ,pre booked late on internet and could only get cheap seats ,hired a cushion which helped .Spectacular production and a must see if in Verona .If going book early or take your chance at the booking office opposite the Arena in Verona. Any seat in the Arena will give you the experience .

It is not as big as the collosseum in Rome, but it is in excellent condition -- and it is much easier to get around, than the version in Rome. We could not time our visit to match a concert, but one can just imagine how magical it would be. There are great views over Verona from the top --... More

We went to see Carmen in the Arena in Verona in August. It was fantastic. Never having been to an opera before this was a real treat.
