If I was only doing two churches I'd skip this for San Zeno and San Fermo but it's easy to have a quick look - the cloisters are lovely though - highly recommend the all-in-one churches ticket for Verona if you love a bit of history/ art/ architecture all thrown in - skip Romeo & Juliet stuff which is all... With so many wonderful sacred buildings in Italy, it would take a lifetime to visit them all. With only a few hours in Verona, we chose the cathedral and weren't disappointed. It's a beautiful building and respected by visitors so it is also peaceful and tranquil. A reasonable entrance fee was also appreciated - 2.5 euros each.

Well worth a visit and not to be missed. At the right time of day there is parking close to the Duomo and several small al fresco cafes

I usually don't like churches cause they all look the same to me, but this Duomo is placed on the top of the old city of Verona and it's worth a visit, even if they are renewing it.

Very nice on the inside and was able to receive confession. But the Basiilica in San Zemo is much better. Very hard about picture taking compared to the other churches.

Quite an overpowering interior to a mere mortal but well worth a visit. Look for TheAssumption by Titian. Part of the outer building is under scaffolding but you can access all parts - do look at the main porch. As well as large frescoes, do take the doorway near the organ down to an older area - the Baptistry and... More

What would an Italian city be without a large church!!! Some holy sanctuaries like the one’s found in Rome, Venice, Floriance and Sienna are so special, they leave you in awe. But for the most part, most churches are just OK. While this was a nice church, with some beautiful sculptures and art work, it was not one of the... More

Difficult to follow 09.30 mass as two sheets provided that did not equate with each other. Interesting building with fine paintings and ceilings. Rather dull, however.

August 3rd 2014 we visited Verona and explored the Duomo. It is a very special place, full of works of art, sculptures and steeped in history. Part of the floor has been excavated to reveal the ancient Roman origins of the building then glassed over to become a see through floor. Really amazing.
