It is beautiful like many Italian churches with lovely painted frescoes. The architecture is fascinating and there are many interesting artefacts. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you've purchased a Verona Card!

Beautiful Romanesque basilica dating to the 1100's. Pay particular attention to the wide array of beautiful statuary throughout the church, both inside and out.

We were in Verona for the day and were just following tourist signs. The duo a was beautiful and well worth the entrance fee of euro 2.50. So many beautiful interesting things to see even if you are not religious

This is one of 4 large churches in central Verona. It's the second we visited with a cumulative ticket. The entry includes a leaflet in English and there's a book available to purchase. I especially liked the frescos around most of the chapels in the main cathedral. The other two, much smaller and older churches had their own charm. Look... More

It was lovely to visit a Cathedral in a big Italian city with having to queue. Although the city was busy today the Duomo was fairly quiet, allowing us the time, space and peace to enjoy it's wonderful interior. Stunning paintings dating back to the C15 all in great condition. The stunning modern seating in the central part is also... More

Most of the attractions charge a fee. Make sure you visit the tourist information in the main area of the city (just opposite the arena) and buy a ticket that lets you in free in most of the attractions. It pays for itself after just 3 attractions. all the attractions this being one are within minutes from each other. so... More

The back part of the church has the older section of the church which gives a historical perspective. This includes a look at the remains of the foundation beneath the existing church. There are numerous old crypts. Worth the time to venture through.

On entry, this looks just like many other over-adorned Italian cathedrals, a side-door leads to some small Romanesque chapels and some interesting excavations. Skip quickly through the Duomo and head straight for the latter stuff.
