The Duomo di Verona is an extremely beautiful building. The façade of the Cathedral – whose work of reconstruction began in 1120 – is a splendid composition of various materials, tuff with white and rose colored marble, together with ceramic tiles. It is essentially Romanesque in style, therefore it is quite simple artistically speaking, and is characterized by three vertical... More

One of three churches we visited, using the special ticket that covers entry into four of the main churches - we didn't have time for the fourth! We were stunned and amazed at the beauty of the art and architecture. Highly recommended.

No matter where you turn, there is something beautiful to see. The thought that this has lasted for so many hundreds of years is mind boggling.

We were unfortunate to visit on a Sunday morning and there was a servic so we did not go inside but it is certainly worth the walk to see the the beautiful exterior. As an aside there is a great garden cafe just opposite to whet your appetite with a spritz which we did.

Although a very pretty cathedral, it was not as unusual or interesting as the Chiesa San Zeno or Chiesa Sant'Anastasia.

I spent the second of two days in Verona touring churches. This was by far the favorite with absolutely stunning paintings and sculptures. Both the interior and exterior of the church are architectural marvels. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone coming to Verona.

Not as big as Milan but equally impressive great frescos on the walls and ceiling. Plenty to explore. Highly recommended for a visit

This is large and impressive, but the artwork is nothing special, and after a while....it is just another large church.

Interesting church but completely over the top decoration. We much preferred the old chapels which were plainer and had a cool calm atmosphere. The roman foundations were well displayed and were the highlight for me.

You may thing you've seen them all, but Verona's duomo was a highlight of the trip here. We spent a good hour and a half here and could have easily done more. The interior has pleasant shades, great art, colorful chapels, and an overall feeling of modesty. It has paleochristian sites as well. One of the best.
