I wanted to take my husband on a surprise tour of Verona for his 30th birthday in May and I'm so pleased we went with Colours of Italy. We learnt things that wouldn't have come across as well in a guide book and the lovely lady who took us round was very knowledgable and easy to talk to with excellent... More

On very short notice, we (myself, my wife and two grown sons) were able to book an historic walking tour of Verona with Silvia which turned out to be one of the best, if not the very best, thing we did during our 7 week stay in Florence and visits to neighboring areas. She showed us things which I'm sure... More

Silvia was a fantastic guide for our day in Verona. She was so great with our children as well as my father-in-law who needed a few breaks during the day. My group arrived late to the meeting spot and Silvia was there trying to get in touch with us and genuinely concerned about us. She immediately spent time getting my... More

On two consecutive days, Elisa Zinnamosca led my husband and I on tours of Bologna (3 hours) and Modena (2 hours). Elisa is delightful, very intelligent, and has a deep understanding of art, architecture, history and culture. Her English is excellent. We were especially pleased at the insight she was able to provide on what is like to live in... More

I and my 8-year old daughter took a 2 hour walking tour of central Verona with Sylvia : It was a full two hours, Sylvia personalised it for us i.e. I requested a historical tour, at an easy walking pace for a child, full of great stories of ambition, feuding, money and power (eat your heart out, Game of Thrones:-).... This was the perfect way to end our short stay in Verona before we moved further south. The tour was customised for our family of two parents and three university student offspring. We asked specifically to see what we could in Verona away from the tourist beaten track as this was not our first visit, so we were spared the... More

Our "girls trip" included a tour by Silvia of the beautiful city of Verona. I cannot imagine a more personable, educated, informative and pleasant tour than Silvia gave us. Totally personalized for four senior women, the walking was easy, the information given was tailored to our interests and by the time we got done , we felt we had a... More
