Our group of approximately 20 cyclists/noncyclists took a break from exploring Lake Garda towns to take in the sights and sounds of Verona. We booked Valeria through a companion website and she proved to be the perfect guide to introduce us to the rich history of the city. Appreciated our time in Piazza del Erbe for a gelato/apertif break; the... More

Valeria took us on an amazing private tour of three wineries in the Valpolicella region that produces the Amarone wines that we have grown to love. I researched winery tours and sent emails to three operators I thought might give us what we were looking for. Of the three, "A Guide in Verona" was the most responsive. Valeria asked the... More

Dear Chris, dear Ana, what a memorable day we had! Thanks for sharing your grace and sensitivity with me and the guys at the cellars! Take care until we meet again and think of me when you drink your Valpolicella wines! Valeria More

Lorella took us around the historical centre of Verona showing the well known gems but also hidden corners & cultural gems that we would not have noticed......what was also so interesting was the history of the City & its relationship with the Popes, Venice & Germany

Our visit to the Carlo Scarpa sites of Verona with Valeria was very enjoyable – a major part of our trip to northern Italy was to visit as many Scarpa sites as we could, and Valeria had access to Verona’s Banco Populaire, for which, as non-Italian speakers, we were grateful for the access. Valeria was very knowledgeable about Scarpa, and... More

It's been a nice experience for me as well: every time I discover something new, thanks to Scarpa's love for hidden details and thanks to "my" travelers' eyes, that help me open mine! Take care, Valeria More

We went to Verona on a day trip from Venice, and used Valeria with A Guide in Verona. She was fabulous! We like history, and she expertly showed us the major sites, and some hidden ones we would not have seen otherwise as well. She customized our tour to hit all the things we wanted. And, showed us the best... More

My wife and I got in touch with Lorella before travelling to Italy and asked that she take us on an abbreviated 2 hour tour of the city. We were delighted that we did, as she proved to be a very personable and knowledgeable guide, and the time just raced by. At the end, we felt we had chosen wisely,... More

My wife and I decided to arrange for a private guided tour of beautiful Verona. Lorella provided the perfect tour which required rearrangement due to weather and our limited time schedule. The perfect introduction to a wonderful city. Certainly well worth the price.

We wanted to visit Verona with a guide to learn about the history of the place. My husband has walking disability so we find such activities difficult. Lorella was extremely helpful and organized for us a wheelchair and choose a route that is easy and accessible. We had a great time, learned a lot about this place and felt well... More

We arrived in Verona, planning to do a self-guided tour but realised we would get so much more out of learning from a local guide. Lorella was amazing! She has been a tour guide for 26 years and her experience is telling! She captivated us with stories of the history and culture of beautiful Verona, providing us with so much... More
