Piazza delle Erbe offers you a great market experience and you might like to sit down and watch the crowd going by. If you want to have some piece and more attention in restaurants, check the side streets and squares.

Yep, love this place. So much to see, so much to photograph and you can do while sipping on a drink and watching the world go by.

We walked to and around the piazza amidst stores and public market stalls galore. The wife was ecstatic. It is Christmas and the lights and sounds are amazing. The carts/mobile shops sell everything from food and beer, clothing and gee-gaws to Christmas ornaments and local products for seasonal decoration, presents, etc. The architecture is wonderful. Climb the tower!

A nice place that we passed through daily. Nice market, especially as they were getting ready for the Christmas season. Surrounded by some wonderful architecture and central to multiple attractions in the city.

Fair, stalls, vendors, masks, things made of leather, tourists, pizza places, fruit in a cup, pigeons, locals dressed in the highest fashion. Worth to pass by and take a few pictures!

A wonderful piazza for a nice evening. This center of the Piazza has a market, and its very interesting to see the way it is organized, and moved away on completion. The merchants [If i can say so...] comes in high profile cars like land rover etc, and tows the shop. In the end the piazza is deserted with just... More

is a nice place in Padova, but don't go after evening, is not dangerous for your safety, but is not well populated. All activites are closed and the square becames sad and cold. Vegetables market in the morning is so tipical and nice.

Piazza delle Erbe is very interesting. There are layers of history that stretch back to Roman times and reach to the present day. Everywhere the eye looks, there is something to see. My favorite things in the piazza are the fountain with the Madonna of Verona and the baroque style Palazzo Maffei at the far end of the piazza. I... More
