It's no wonder that this is one of the most historic and picturesque squares in Italy: in antiquity, it served as a Roman forum; today, it contains many historic buildings, sculptures with a popular and colorful market overflowing with fresh fruits and vegetables.

This piazza is beautiful, it is in the centre of Verona- between the arena and the castello. We had a lovely time strolling and people watching in it. Worth a visit!

I have to say I prefer Piazza delle Erbe to Piazza Bra. I don't know why but I could feel the city vibe there. It was lively but not too crowded. It was surrounded by lovely Italian houses and lots of gelato shops (I mean, com'on GELATO!) My boyfriend and I spent almost every night sitting at the piazza eating... More

We visited the place and decided to go up the tower. The view was worth the many stairs. It was easy to see all the main tourist attractions from there, and gave a very good view of the original contour of the city.

I doubt anyone would visit Verona just to see this square. But, once in Verona you ought to visit. The Arena is not far nor is the river. Juliet's balcony is also close. It's a nice piazza with fruit and vegetable vendors, souvenir vendors, places to eat and other things to see. Verona's a beautiful hill country city.

This plaza is just about in the center of Oldtown. The river is about a 20 minute walk in one direction and the Roman arena is about the same distance the opposite direction. We stayed in a beautiful one room B&B in a 500-year-old building overlooking this plaza. There are plenty of restaurants. Juliet's balcony is nearby, as well as... More

Piazza delle Erbe is a busy area. We spent time looking around at all the vendors set up in the center. I'm not sure if they are there regularly or because it was Pasque, but we enjoyed browsing. There are many restaurants to choose from if you'd like a bite to eat. Although it was busy, it wasn't so crowded... More

Another stop for an Aperol Spritz! Friendly cafes with heaters for the cooler evenings. Bought a few momentoes at the stalls too. Very central for a break in seeing the sights (Juliet's house is close by for example)

you must see it from all angles and let sink in the various impressions that will overcome you. Beautiful old buildings that speak of great days in the past and some delicate situated exquisite shops ( if you with)
