Its the most beautiful piazza in verona and possibly the most important . It used to be the vegetable market place , now its bustling with tourists in cafes on one side of the piazza sipping wonderful colourful drinks and eating pizza. There are all manner of stalls in the middle selling some standard fare but also offerings of fresh... More

The shape of the piazza tells you its history: as the Roman race track or hippodrome. This is Verona's Piazza Navona equivalent. Small, charming thronged with people and caffes and a fountain in the middle. This is the finest drawing room in Europe; Napoleon was wrong about Venice. The market is full of useful things and not tack. The urban... More

This was awesome, we arrive here in June as the music festival was on, this square was busy with music and dance entertainment, people were cooling down in the fountain, people, eating or having in restaurants, market stalls, overall wonderful way to spend a few hours here.

I live in Verona. and Piazza Erbe .. ancient Roman Forum.. is very very lovely .!! Take a walk in a summer evening, in the center of Verona, from the Arena to Piazza Erbe is always a wonderful experience, which I recommend to all visitors and residents of Verona.

Verona is an historic Italian City, with some wonderful architecture. The Piazza Erbe is one of the larger squares in the City. It is about 10 minutes walk along Via Giuseppe Mazzini, the main shopping street, from the Piazza Bra at the Centre of the old City. On the day we visited Verona there was a market in the Piazza... But we enjoyed being able to go to a café after the Opera in the Amphitheater. There was something special about ordering baked Canaloni stuffed with cottage cheese and a bottle of wine at 1 in the morning.

It really is a beautiful square, even with the big crowds of summer tourists it is a must when visiting Verona, lined by beautiful and historic buildings and houses and to towers at least 600 years old. If you cross the archway at the middle of the square you enter Signori square which is also as important and fantastic.

It's really worth a walk, a visit and everything but it's usually too crowdy. I like to visit places like this at night, lights make everything look magical and the best thing about this is that there's almost no one there at night.
