Was a bit dubious about wine tour how wrong could I be. Went on the Innovations vs Tradition wine tour with my wife, three fun french canadian vets a lovely couple from Iceland and of course Sofia our wonderful loquacious guide. First went to a modern winery where the enthusiastic Marco entertained us with his knowledge and enthusiasm and then... More

I have to admit I was a little sceptical when persuaded to book this "wine tour". Here we go, I thought - "from harvest to bottle in 20 minutes" - then the sales pitch, then back to base. I was soooo wrong! Collected at 9:00am - smart mini bus - just 7 of us and our guide Sofia. First stop... More

Alessandro couldn't have been a better host as we explored the Valpolicella wine region in the hills to the northwest of Verona. We toured the vineyards and stopped at a winery where we sampled the wines. We took our oldest grandson (yes he is old enough to drink legally in Italy) who is crazy about Amarone. Our group consisted of... More

We took the Terra dei Forti wine tour and visited Albino Armani. It was such an amazing experience. Sophia, our guide, was so sweet and incredible talented.

Yesterday we had an excellent private tour with Alessandro, from start to finish, he we interesting, knowledgeable and funny. We went to an excellent winery in the morning, where our host Alessandra was also fantastic, we toured the winery met the owner and had wonderful "nibbles". Then we had a superb lunch with Alessandro at Enoteca Della Valpollicella and after... More

Pagus is the company to select to explore the surroundings of Verona. Very friendly staff, good cars, and the trips are very variating. Not much driving, but many stops and the lunch couldn't have been bettered. The guide talked a lot with the guest and there were often good conversation between the guide and the guests. I really recommend this... More

we had a fantastic afternoon and early evening on the Soave wine tour. A bit of Verona history, a drive in the air conditioned minbus to the hills overlooking Verona with an empassioned mini lecture. Throughout the journey wonderful knowledge of the area, of Italy, any questioned answered. From there to Castle Soave and onto the very hospitable tour guide... More

Whilst staying in Verona for 3 days, decided that an afternoon wine tour would be perfect to add to the city highlights. Booked the 2:30pm Soave tour and our tour guide, Sofia, was wonderful. Great visit to Soave Castle and then onto a family run winery for an informative tour and of course the best part, the tasting. Tried 4... More

I would like to recommend Alessandro, our tour guide, on the Valpolicella tour. Alessandro was extremely knowledgeable in explaining the region, types of grapes, growth methods, the various vineyards and their history and all other information that is essential to understand and really appreciate Valpolicella. The vineyard we were taken to (Stefano Accordini) had a superb guide as well, Alessandra,... More

The visit was very well organized. It enables us to discover the Valpolicella's culture and unique know how. The 3 wineries we visited we very different one from the other but in all we were welcomed by passionate and very open people. The choice of wines was also great : from very affordable to very exclusive. Sofia, our tour leader... More
