I would like to recommend Alessandro, our tour guide, on the Valpolicella tour. Alessandro was extremely knowledgeable in explaining the region, types of grapes, growth methods, the various vineyards and their history and all other information that is essential to understand and really appreciate Valpolicella. The vineyard we were taken to (Stefano Accordini) had a superb guide as well, Alessandra,... More

The visit was very well organized. It enables us to discover the Valpolicella's culture and unique know how. The 3 wineries we visited we very different one from the other but in all we were welcomed by passionate and very open people. The choice of wines was also great : from very affordable to very exclusive. Sofia, our tour leader... More

Fabulous tour! Sophia, our tour guide was full of knowledge and very fun! Wish she could have drunk some wine with us. The group was small and was obvious that all the tour guides had great understanding and knowledge of the area! Would definitely use this tour again.

Went with David, who when not guiding these tours teaches Italian geography and history to middle school students. He also is an expert on wine in the region. He was able to answer every question we threw at home if it related to any of this broad topics, which was great. The wine tasting was very pleasant, not rushed, and... More

We chose to do the Italian cookery session and wine tasting. We were collected from our front door by David who immediately started to tell us about the history of vineyards in the region. We arrived at the ugolini wine distillery where we were taken on a tour by jambertista ugolini. Jambertista is probably one of the most passionate people... More

We met Davide and immediately we knew he was going to be great, very friendly and informative, and he seemed genuinely passionate about the valpolicella wines and its history. Having only four of us on the tour gave us an intimate experience which made it easy for us to ask questions and become more involved in the tour. Although it... More

We have joined the Wine Tour from Torbole Lake Garda. The original name of the tour was Ugolini Wine Tour. The advantages of this tour are: chance of tasting a very good wine and to understand what Valpolicella wine is about; see the beautifully renewed 11th century winery place; chance to purchase Ugolini wine for decent prices. The disadvantages are:... More

Hi Hawaii93, I'm really sorry that you got bored of the tour, but I need to answer to your sentences. "Original name Ugolini Wine Tour"? The name of the tour is Valpolicella & Amarone wine tour, it includes one winery and on that day we visited Ugolini winery. The brochure doesn't say that you will see you the techniques and... More

We joined 2 tours with Pagus (Amarone tour & Bordalino tour). If you are a wine lover, the Amarone is a must-do. For the Amarone tour, we visited 2 wineries of different scale and philosophy of wine making. In each winery, we tasted >10 types of wine with detailed explanation of grapes and wine making process. We had been wine... More

The tour started with some of the history of the Valpolicella region and the surrounding regions. Our guide highlighted the differences between flavors of the wine because of the soil of the region. The whole experience was very relaxing. At the winery, we had excellent food to pair with the wine, making the day even better. It was nice to... More

Would highly recommend Sofia Zanotti, our guide for the day in Valpolocella. Very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly, delivered a wealth of information and took us to some fantastic places particularly the Novaia vineyard where we had a great tasting with Marcello, and then a fantastic lunch at Enoteca della Valpolocella. A great way to see the region and well done... More
