His name is Joseph Martin, and you will never forget his violin playing nor your evening there. He plays nightly Wednesday through Sunday except during the winter (after mid-December). Just got back from Venice and walking through St. Mark's Square at night heard a GREAT violinist playing. We listened a few minutes then sat for two hours just listening!!! It is expensive,52 euros for 4 Bellini's, but you are in Venice!!!!!! We loved him so much, we went back every night in Venice! More

We stopped at the Gran Caffe Chioggia in order to listen to an excellent violinist. We ordered one coffee, one hot chocolate and one small Grappa (local spirit). It was served by rather unfriendly waiters who lacked customer care. The bill was an excessive 34.40 Euros and the gents toilet smelt like a monkey house! I 'd never go there... More
