We enjoyed a fabulous day on the Lido learning to make pasta and incredible sauces with the Acqulina cooking school. If you have even a remote interest in cooking, you will enjoy this class! Getting there: We were staying in Venice, and took a vaporetto (water bus) over to the Lido stop, which is a brief, scenic walk from the... More

This is a must for anyone who wants to visit a beautiful villa on Lido Isle and share a cooking experience with people from around the world. We made and cooked pasta while sipping on champagne and swapping travel stories. I believe 6 or 8 people is the maximum she has in a class so it's total hands on cooking.... More

My husband and I recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in Venice. We decided to take a cooking class at the Acquolina Cooking School. It turned out to be the most amazing day. Started at Rialto Market on Venice where Chef Marika taught us what to look for when buying fish, shellfish, etc. Then we took a water taxi for... More

My wife, son, and I took the half-day cooking class at the end of June. The menu was the Home Made Pasta Extravaganza and it was one of the highlights in our two week vacation. There was one other couple in the class, for a total of five people, so it seemed very personal. Marika, the chef who ran the... More

This mom and two teenaged sons took the lunch cooking class. OMG! I'll start with the end....the food was fantastic....better than anything else we had in our eight days in Italy. The school is on Lido which provided an excuse to see another part of Venice. It is run in conjunction with a B&B. Despite being expensive, I heartily recommend... More

My husband and I had the best time attending a pasta-making class with Marika at the Acquolina Cooking School. Do not miss this unique and very personal experience…. Marika is charming and the class is taught in her beautiful palazzo on Lido island. It was a wonderful opportunity to do something off the beaten path. Do not miss this if... More

My wife and twin granddaughters attended a cooking class here yesterday and we all had a great time. Marika, our chef and instructor was terrific. She demonstrated the skills and helped us master them. This was a hands on course. We and the other 4 people in the course all had an opportunity to perform the steps to make the... More

We attended a cooking class for 6/18/15 with one of our teenage sons (15 years old). We chose not to include the Rialto market shopping because we didn't think we would want such a long day. I'm SO disappointed we didn't include it. When we met up with the group after their shopping excursion, they had so much knowledge about... More

This class is what made Venice so SPECIAL to us!! After a short boat ride we arrived to her beautiful home! The flowers around the home are gorgeous! There seemed to be a slight confusion about our booking but within 5 minutes Marika had us in the kitchen and ready to go! My husband was not very adamant about taking... More

Went with friends to half-day class. It was one of the best parts of our trip to Italy. We made several kinds of pasta that were fabulous. Marika was a great teacher and a lot of fun. Would love to go back and do it again.
