My son and I participated in a class in December and had a truly amazing experience. Marika and her team provide a unique and special opportunity for her students, a high calibre chef offering her wisdom and warmth. During the class we learnt about food preparation, ingredient choice, paring nutrition, cooking technique, cultural food facts, you name it and prepared... More

Acquolina were so accommodating when booking our half day cookery course, agreeing not to include fish as my children don't eat fish. We cooked gnocchi and fresh pasta both ravioli and tagliatelle and several sauces and a wonderful traditional bolognese with three different meats. We also made tiramisu, Marika the talented chef spoke great English and ensured everyone was fully... More

A beautiful location, good company and great conversation about food! What a lovely way to spend a few hours in Venice! Marika was a warm and welcoming host, and enjoying sharing her massive passion for Venetian cooking - it was a real honour to be welcomed into her beautiful home. We were a group of five strangers - two couples,... More

I just recently, October of 2014, spent three days in the beautiful city of Venice. I had, with some trepidation, booked a half day cooking class at Acquolina Cooking School on-line before leaving on my trip. I am here to tell you that the experience was worth every minute, every dollar spent, and every delicious morsel of home made pasta,... More

So I was nervous to book this tour in a foreign country with people I had never met. But what an amazing day! if this was my only experience in Venice, I would have been so satisfied. Scheduling was easy as was deposit. We had a challenge in finding the exact meeting spot, as well as everyone else. But they... More

When we first arrived I was a bit nervous about the menu as it had several things my husband and I don't normally like. However, we were thrilled with the outcome and shocked by how much we liked foods we normally don't. It was a true Venetian experience making seafood pasta and learning how to clean all different types of... More
