My husband and I just returned from a trip to Venice. One of the highlights of our time there was a half-day culinary experience at Acquolina Cooking School -- what an amazing experience! Chef Marika and her wonderful team welcomed us with warmth and enthusiasm. We participated in preparing gnocchi, ravioli, fettuccine, tiramisu and panna cotta, among other dishes. This... More

My wife and I just spent 7 beautiful days in Venice celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. One of the best highlights was our cooking class with Marika. She is a lovely person and an amazing chef. She treats you like an old friend from the moment you meet. She exudes a genuine passion for food and desire to bring people... More

I had booked the Aquolina cooking class for myself and my husband during our time in Venice. They had promptly confirmed our class, and communication regarding the class was great. Then about a week before we depart for Italy I receive an email asking what days we will be in Venice, as they will need to have some work done... More

Dear Christine, I totally understand your discontent and frustration in not being able to enjoy one of our sought-after cooking classes. We receive many requests every day and believe me, we always try to satisfy them all (as you can read on the numerous reviews) even on holidays where Chef Marika may have personal and family commitments (please read this... The best meal we ate while in Italy was in Marika's kitchen. We have already made the same dishes several times since being home.

This was by far one of my favorite parts of my trip to Venice! The villa is amazing and the class was so much fun! Only had 2 other people in our class so it was very personal and we left so full! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Venice.

What can I possibly say to express how valuable the Acquolina cooking class was to our trip! We are a family of five, with 3 girls aged 14, 14, and 11. I am a dietitian and my girls and I love to cook together. We learned an immense amount from Marika. I just asked my girls what was their favorite... More

Marika is such a fun and inspiring chef. She taught us like we were being instructed by our own nonna! Gorgeous. The full day cooking class showed off the versatility of the produce and it was great fun working in a small group to build a wonderful lunch (especially after the bacara visits while at Rialto mercato!) The whole day... More

The whole experience was great. Marika is passionate, informative and understanding. She makes things fun and exciting and you happen to learn a ton along the way. We definitely want to make a return trip to soak up some more of her incredible knowledge and cooking skills.

My husband and I had an interesting cook session with chef Marika in Lido, Venice. The kitchen is large and beautiful and Marika orientation and tips are useful and clear. We have cooked an amazing Spezzatino di Vitello from Venezian Menu, that we recommend. At home, we have already cooked the Spezzatino and the Tiramisu. The results: gorgeous and well... More

To celebrate our 'special' birthdays, my daughter and I were treated to the wonderful experience of a seafood cooking class with chef Marika in the purpose-built kitchen of the beautiful Lido-located Acquolina Cooking School. Marika was very informative and friendly, guiding five of us through the preparation and cooking a delicious luncheon menu. Her professional tips on each step of... More
