My name's Luisella Romeo and I am a registered tourist guide in Venice. I run SeeVenice and offer private and semi-private tours in Venice and to the islands in the Venetian lagoon such as Murano, Burano and Torcello. You can also book walking tours in the city, both orientation tours and itineraries along the off-the-beaten paths. Boat tours with private watertaxi along the canals and guided tours to all museums and churches are also included as well as to temporary art exhibitions.

Luisella Romeo is a fantastic tour guide. We took both a private and group tour with her and enjoyed both. I think Venice is a city that really requires a small private tour. Otherwise you will feel swallowed up by the throngs of package tour tourist.

I tried to book Luisella Romeo due to the excellent reviews on trip advisor for a tour with less than a weeks notice... No surprise she was fully booked! However, she was very helpful in giving me details of other tour guides and things to do! Will make sure I book Luisella in plenty of time for my next visit... More

We had a wonderful private tour with luisella in the back roads of Venice. She is very well versed and helped to bring history and art to life for our 9 year old. Luisella is very personable with a wonderful sense of humour! She made me laugh out loud on many occasions. This wa our third visit to Venice so... More

Luisella kept us interested for both our private guiding tours (a private boat ride on a water taxi and a walking tour). We saw Venice come to life with her stories. She pointed out certain highlights but also took us to little corners in Venice that aren't being overwhelmed by tourists. She was flexible in her guiding tour as she... More

We toured Venice for two days with Luisella at the end of May. She is a bright, charming, humorous, caring person, but that's only the start. Luisella is immensely knowledgeable and has an uncanny ability to weave art, architecture, religion, politics, world history, geology and more into a captivating tapestry. I don't remember the last time I learned so much... More

Our family of six spent two days with Luisella. We did a 2 hour introduction to the beautiful city of Venice on our day of arrival and a full day tour the following day. I cannot say enough about Luisella!! She is one of the most engaging people I have ever met. She taught us so much about the city... More

What a fabulous lady Luisella is, from the moment we met her we knew she was going to be fantastic! There were 7 of us on our 4 hour tour, which comprised of the Rialto Bridge and Markets, San Polo, the Frari church and the Scuola of San Rocco. I was so pleased we did this tour as we went... More

We had an amazing 2 hour introduction walking tour of Venice with Luisella. She was charming, engaging, knowledgable and delightful. I would have been happy to have spent my whole 2 days in Venice with her (and taken her with us when we left!). Our two children who are 12 and 16 were enraptured as well. She deserves her #1... Foremost, Luisella is wonderful to work with and extremely knowledgable and gave our family an afternoon they will always remember. We were on a family trip - my wife, myself, our two sons, their wives and five grandchildren [ages 11-16]. We were arriving on a ship and this was a first time for our children and grandchildren. Venice was the... More

Luisella was delightful, very animated and interesting. I learnt so much about Venice and this tour was the highlight of my visit to Venice. I would recommend Luisella as a tour guide and especially the 'Coffee, Chocolate and Marionette tour'.

Staying in Giudecca

Neighborhood Profile
Giudecca
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.
