....... to pay premium price for drinks, but it is worth it to sip them in one the worlds most historic bars. Besides, service was good and the food ok to very good. Like many restaurants, your opinion depends on what you choose to eat. We shared two starters between the four of us which were just about adequate, (the... More

I haven't been to Venice since October 2013, so I had to fudge my dates a bit, as trip advisor doesn't allow me to go back that far BUT, the information is the same: Every time I go to Harry's Bar, it is a wonderful experience. I am a poor, self-employed, american girl from Delaware and believe me when I... More

I'm reviewing this place because I think it could be the most misunderstood bar in the world. My experience is out of the time frame for reviewing it on this site so I'm lying about the date we visited. Why do i say its misunderstood? because i can understand why people would think of it as crap. As we had... More

I wanted to see if some of the old "ghosts" would have left some sign from the past. They have long gone. Terrible service, outrageous prices and no fun! Probably the effect of mass tourism! Harry's Bar is gone!

We stumbled over Harry's Bar whilst wondering the streets of Venice and wanting to indulge in a bottle of Prosecco. On arrival the bar was busy and full of atmosphere with the waiters in their crisp suits and welcoming smiles. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco at the bar and the waiter immediately said he would find us a table... More

We have dined at Harry's twice during our week in Venice--dinner and New Year's lunch. We really love the atmosphere and tradition, and we also like Cipriani in New York. New Year's lunch at 3pm was particularly memorable. DIffused southern light warmed the room, and we were surrounded by elegant Venetians celebrating the day. My husband and I enjoyed negronis... Anonymous establishment and you can easily walk right past it (we did). If you can then fit through the tiny doors you are then faced with a small, dark bar which almost has as many staff as customers (all dressed in white tie evening attire). You cannot even see anything out of the small windows! We then drank two small... More

We stopped here because of the historical value, and because we spotted in earlier in the day. When we walked in, the price was very crowded. Its not a big establishment, but it gives it a little character. We were lucky enough to snag a seat, but the waiter come over to tell us that he had a reservation for... More
