A meal at Harry's Bar has been as foregone a conclusion on a visit to Venice as a ride in a water taxi. Time to break this habit. Harry's. Not the water taxi. The waiters barely tolerate your being there. You are always seated in the worst part of the restaurant--upstairs, in the back room, where you don't even get... More

I didn't love this place as much as I'd expected to. It was somewhere to tick off the list and have 1 Bellini, but there was a cheesy smell when we went in which I couldn't ignore. I would have liked a bigger Bellini for 18 EUR too, though it was more comparable to a museum which served alcohol.

I usually use Trip Advisor as a guide when choosing restaurants or hotels but I made the critical mistake of falling for this tourist trap. It's a nice little place to stop and the quality was better than average but the prices are ridiculous. If you want to say you've been and you don't mind paying at least twice as... More

Very nice to sit in a bar, unspoilt by time and with great service and very well made cocktails. Best Tom Collins I have had. Not sure what others were expecting but a nice little classic bar, more about the history than the here and now.

A little hard to find! We were told that this was a "must visit" on our trip to Venice. We stopped in for a quick Bellini on our way out to dinner. The staff we excellent and very attentive. The drinks and nibbles were delicious. A little over priced, but a once in a lifetime visit!

Found down a small street just down from San Marco. It is a little hard to find, but a little gem. It is is plane inside, little changed from Hemmingways day-except of course for the prices! The Bellini is a must, served with olives and tapas. If you are lucky you may come away with a postcard of the bar... More

Recommended by a friend. We did not reserve and despite the fact that there was free tables, they looked at us in such a way. Food was good but way overpriced. Too many waiters which made us feel like we were in a busy train station. No space between tables. The reputation of the place is part of history.

One doesn't go to Harry's for the quality of the drink, the service or the price. It is for the atmosphere and history - which it has in spades. When a friend heard we were going to Venice, he recommended we visit Harry's. We did and enjoyed the elegant, yet tasteful environment. We felt as if we were in an... More

Sipping a Bellini at Harry's Bar had to be done. The bar itself is very unassuming (no outside seating and you only know you're there by the writing on the door and windows) but is decorated in a very beautiful classical style - it really is like stepping back in time. Be warned however the Bellini's are about 18Euros each... More

Wanted to visit after reading some of the excellent reviews however was left disappointed. Don't mind spending money on nice cocktails and was aware of the cost beforehand. Bellini's were a real let down. Had much nicer drinks in other lovely places. Would not visit again
