On Valentine's night, after a wonderful romantic meal, my husband and I strolled across St Mark's square to have a cocktail in 'Harry's Bar'. On arrival we found the atmosphere to be totally flat this was clearly not the sort of place to see or be seen in... The bar itself was grubby, shabby and very tired. The bar tenders... More

We visited this place as 3 couples. First moment of truth was the menu most of the main courses over 60 euros. I liked the scnitzel and the house vine but find the whole package too expensive for the experience. We end up payin 450 euros as 3 couples, i wont be visiting this place again. On the other hand... The legend is not what you'll find - it's tacky, expensive and not worth the effort. Rude staff too. I heard several people complaint as we arrived and hoped it was 'just them' but no, it was somewhere I will never go again!

Tucked away at the end of the marina, this is a piece of history where the Bellini was invented. Expensive but worth it to pretend you are part of the Brat Pack.

Harry’s Bar is just a divine understated but classy bar on the front of San Marco, reminiscent of the Ivy in London. Hemmingway, Chaplin and Dickens (well Me, Chris Dickens!) have all visited here and you can feel the history as soon as you walk in. Home of the Bellini, where waiters in white tuxedos recreate this wonderful cocktail in... More

Just the fact that so many people said 'you've not been to Venice if you've not been to Harry's Bar' made me determined not to go, but he insisted, and curious I acquiesced. I had been to Venice before and was determined to honour that as having actually happened, despite not having visited - or even having heard of –... More

Stopped in for a celebratory birthday drink. Although they were serving lunch and the place is small (and busy) they happily sat us 7 gals at the bar. The prosecco is divine. Make sure you stop by as this is a must even just to say you've been to the home of the Bellini

Harry's Bar is a historic place, where one of the most popular cocktail in the world, called Bellini was created. So if you are bartender or cocktail lover you need to visit Harry's Bar and feel the special atmosphere!! In the other hand if you've never heard about Bellini - don't waste your money. The cocktail is very good, but... More

My partner wanted to visit Harry's Bar and had warned me of how busy it can be (I don't cope overly well with crowds!). How fortunate we were to be in Venice on a bleak, rainy and cold day with minimal tourists. After window shopping and roaming around the laneways in plastic boots, mostly on temporary boardwalks due to the... More

This is another place you must visit when in Venice. I have always wanted to have a Bellini in this historic bar (another box ticked). The bar looked suitably aged, much smaller than I imagined. The service was great and the staff very friendly, especially the barman who always tried to look surprised when taking a Bellini order. OK bar... More
