Small, non descript bar downstairs (no harm in that) with much nicer room upstairs (good views from some tables; better option for dining). Absurdly priced average food and drinks. The disdain on the face of the chief barman was a sight to behold as he slopped large beakers of Bellinis into glasses (Euro 19, each). Cafes on St. Mark's Square... more

Harry's Bar is surprisingly small, we were there on a busy Friday night. Luckily, we found a place at the bar, and enjoyed watching the bartender make martinis. Being Hemingway and Orson Welles fans, we had put the bar near the top of list of Venice sites. My husband and I love martinis, and we were served the best martinis... more

Sure, it's expensive. Sure, the waiters are surly. You must have missed the twinkle in their eyes while you were holding onto your wallet. Get over it! The experience...unparalleled for chic, style, and elegance. Sure it's a bucket list attraction but they pull it off! Get a Bellini to start. Then order the best grilled cheese sandwich ever made and... more

Ate here in May 2009 on a business trip. Not bad food, but still the worst meal of the whole entire trip - and by far the most expensive. Do yourself a favor - walk in, have a bellini at the bar (This will set you back plenty) and check it off the bucket list. Then, go ask the hotel... more

The only good thing about Harry's is their reputation. Walked in, got ignored by the wait staff who grumped and shoved us into an uncomfortable table. Ordered Bellini's and took a picture of us drinking a Bellini. Got barked at by the waiter for taking a picture. Then Woody Harrelson walked in. We left. Won't be back. more

Harry's was a huge disappointment. We have traveled extensively & wined and dined in some wonderful establishments around the world, but Harry's is definitely not one of them! The main problem was a complete lack of respect for their customers. I have never encountered so many rude & arrogant staff members in my life. The food marginal, & their famous... more

It's simple - the service, food and atmosphere combined make Harry's one of the the most enjoyable restaurant experiences anywhere in the world. Those who file in and out of the often crowded bar only to balk at the price of a bellini are sadly missing the point. more

but i wished i hadn't. Over hyped and certainly over priced. After three wonderful days in Venice I can whole heartedly reccomend the city but a trip to Harry's is simply not necessary. Ok, the food wasn't bad but I have eaten in far superior restaurants for a fraction of the price. Me and my partner had a total of... more

This may have been once the most famous bar in Venice, the place Hemingway was fond of hanging out in (and getting drunk in, no doubt). These days it is a tourist trap, full of people who think they may get some kind of Venetian experience by spending $250 or more on two plates of so-so food. The famopus Bellini... more
