This bridge is always very busy. It is one of the iconic bridges of Venice. You get a good view of the Grand Canal from here but the bridge itself is not worth seeking out. The vaporetto stops at Rialto but apart from the nearby market there is not a lot to get off for.

Right next to the hotel always busy difficult to get decent pictures. A bit overrated to be honest. Less busy early morning and later in the evening

The iconic Rialto Bridge is the sixth version, but the first in stone, to link the San Polo and San Marco districts at this narrowest point on the Grand Canal. (Until the 19 th century it was the only bridge over the canal.) Finished in 1592, this wide expanse has two rows of shops facing each other with a set... More

Translation- What a beautiful old bridge. We have been to Venice many times, yet I never tire of a visit to the Rialto Bridge! There are fantastic restaurants right near the bridge and a stroll across the bridge offers a wonderful assortment of gifts and ideas. Last time we were there my husband bought a fantastic black cane with a... More

Full of tourists but it's fairly navigable to cross and have a look as the shops and the nice views. I didn't go in any of the obvious tourist trap cafes though.

It's best to visit early or later at night as it's very busy and full of tourists taking photos. After you're finished catch a gondola ride to see kazanovas house and 007 movie scene;)

While Ponte Vecchio in Florence tended to have all the same type of vendors (Jewellery), I felt there was much more variety on Ponte Vecchio and surrounding shops. Very picturesque too!

The Rialto Bridge is an interesting structure surrounded by various retail and gift shops, restaurants and other buildings. It is certainly worth a quick visit, if you have some spare time. When we were there in early June, it wasn’t very busy, and it was relatively easy to climb onto the main section of the bridge and enjoy the atmosphere.... More

The Rialto area is an easy walk from St Mark's Square or simply take the boat up the Grand Canal and get off at the Rialto stop. The area will be teeming with tourists but mix and mingle. There is shopping along the walk from St Mark's Square and it is easy to just stop along the way to get... More
