The Rialto Bridge is without doubt one of the landmarks of Venice! The current structure was built in just three years, between 1588 and 1591, as a permanent replacement for the boat bridge and three wooden bridges that had spanned the Grand Canal at various times since the 12th Century. The Rialto Bridge's 7.5-meter (24-foot) arch was designed to allow... More

While the Rialto Bridge is yes, the bridge, its influence spans more than the river. There are shopping areas attached to it, next to it and the bridge itself is shopping over the river! We were there in February and it was moderately busy. The best part was all the light decoration above the bridge at night! It made the... More

A must when visiting Venice - it is a vibrant bustling area and popular with couples!! People selling red roses and selfie sticks are abundant!! Number of shops on the bridge and there are plenty of cafes/restaurants. The Vaporetta stops here too.

And it is very crowded. It was in February so I don't know what Summer would bring. The view from the bridge is worthwhile though. J

When it comes to Venice the first thing that it comes to mind is St. Mark’s Square. However, after a few days stay in Venice you understand that The Piazza San Marco may be more famous, but the Ponte di Rialto is the true heart of the city. The area around the bridge has everything to make you wandered around... More

The most famous of the four bridges that span the Grand Canal in Venice. It divides San Marco and San Palo. A photographers dream.

Love the view at the Bridge. I went two time, one during the sunset and after for a night shoot and relaxing moment. During the times specially around 7-8 most of the people got o have dinner and the you can enjoy the view and the bridge by them self.
