Beautiful and unique Bridge. Like all of Venice, you feel like you are in a painting. Everywhere you look is worth a photograph.

I think people come to places like this with an expectation of finding no one there and no sign of commerce. Rialto is not that kind of bridge and never was. It has shops and people selling all kind of things, it has lots of tourists, it also has wonderful views down the canal. It's a place that requires imagination,... More

I don't know what we had expected, but definately not this sort of touristtrap! The bridge is covered in shops that sells touristy junk. We could not get far enough away.

I visited the Rialto Bridge about two weeks ago and expected what my friends had seen previously, "A heavily graffitied bridge, with lots of rubbish on it." The Bridge was very clean, with no graffiti. It is hard to stand on the bridge and look down the Grand Canal from it because it's jam-packed with tourists. Also, there are men... More

What can I say. I know the Rialto is famous and it is a must see but as far as I am concerned it is not very special. It is a bridge, it is quite big and you have nice views from up there. If you can get past all other tourists that is. The shops along the street leading... More

Rialto Bridge (Ponte di Rialto) is one of the most beautiful and easily recognisable bridges in the world. Built by Antonio da Ponte at the end of the 16th century, this is the oldest of the four bridges crossing the lovely Grand Canal of Venice. Linking San Polo and San Marco districts, the waterway on both sides of Rialto Bridge... More

It is a central spot along the Grand Canal - and one of the few places to get across in central Venice - so you kinda hafta go there. You just don't have to like it all that much. It is packed with people all the time - can you say selfie? - but it does give a nice view... More

I thought this was just a landmark that you go under or walk over.... but its not! The little shops and fabulous entertainers that sit within the confines of the bridge (from one end to the other) are wonderful! You really get a sense of Venice and it's colorful locals when visiting here.

Standing on this bridge looking out over the Grand Canal is quite a lovely picture. Whether standing on this magnificent bridge or viewing it from a Gondola you can't help appreciate the beauty and history of this bridge. It's a must see!!
