What a place what a spectacular sight a very romantic place where we honeymooned xx we stayed at the rialto hotel litterally on the steps of the bridge. By day the bridge is tremendously busy as is the whole of venice. Literally nothing beats standing on the bridge watching the gondolas and water taxis cruise the grand canal. If you... More

The bridge itself is amazing. The only problem is if you arrive at the bridge during peak hours (10:00-16:00) it is packed with people. Not a bad experience if you are travelling solo or as a couple. If you are travelling as a family with small kids and a stroller, better to do so in the morning. DON'T miss the... More

The Rialto bridge - photographed to exhaustion - and close up more shabby (and graffiti laden) than romantics might wish. The number of declarations of eternal love expressed on small padlocks attached to the bridge grows exponentially. The authorities may have to ban the practice as in Paris, where a bridge collapsed under the weight of these tokens recently.

I love the Rialto Bridge. View it from a distance so you can really appreciate and take it all in. There are also shops on the bridge too which are incredibly busy. The view is also great from the top. We took a water taxi tour and got to ride underneath. This was one of the best ways to appreciate... More

This is by far the most famous, most photographed bridge across Grand Canal (out of 4). There are plenty of shops, activities and tourist around. In fact, there are so many tourists on the bridge, it is hard not to bump shoulder with others. Walk across once, take some photos on the bridge, beware of potential pickpockets and wander into... Came with my wife across this bridge multiple times. This bridge is the only bridge that allows one to cross the grand canal of venice. Whether you are riding a vaporetto (water buses) under it, walking along the canal to it, or walking directly on it, the atmosphere, environment, and scenery is breathtaking. As you walk up the bridge, there... More

This is the main bridge to cross over the grand canal, it is also one of the busiest. It is lined with shops on both sides which can get very crowded. But it is worth a look none the less.

On our recent stay in Venice we walked over and sailed under this fantastic bridge several times. To me the Rialto Bridge has much more appeal when viewed from the water. It was too crowded when we walked to it and the nearby shops and restaurants were much dearer than elsewhere.

Beautiful and Famous...many great outdoor cafe's near by. Very busy on the weekends. A bit difficult to find on foot. Better to take the boat bus there.

Very cool bridge, very good in pictures. The bridge is fun to walk across, and to ride the vaporetto under. It is looks amazing at night also. Its more romantic to look at night.
