We found the bridge when we wandering around the shops behind St Marks Square. Very impressive with shops up both sides of it and a walkway outside of them. Good views of both banks and the Gondolas and boats passing under it. A nice place to visit :-)

Many people would love to flock to this bridge to take pictures from there - because it is famous. It is also know for famous for pick pockets! A friend was approached by a man, asking to take a picture with other guy. The guy keep pushing the camera in his face to "ask" to take picture....But those guys moving... More

One of the "sights" of a trip down the Grand Canal in Venice. It really is a stunning bridge, architecturally beautiful. However, get off the boat and you are in a crush of people, surrounded by shops mostly selling tourist tat. Not a pleasant experience at all, stick to looking at it from a boat - much nicer and you... More

Firstly I would recommend a visit. Approaching the bridge on foot is not a memorable experience but seeing it from the water is brilliant. Once upon the bridge itself it is not much more than an extension of similar shops selling tourist goods. At the peak expect to be approached by the usual band of street sellers offering sticks for... More

If you visit this place, make sure to gain more knowledge about it. As the bridge itself might not be the prettiest in the world. The fact however, that this was the only existing bridge between the 2 main islands of Venice shows, what big part of Venetian History this Landmark is.

A great landmark, just by the flee market, a short walk from St Marco Square. Lots of hussle and bussle, shops and restaurants either side. You should research the history to appreciate this landmark, great for photos

This is a beautiful bridge and is best viewed from down the Canal Grande a little bit. There are tiny shops on the bridge with everything from jewelry to souvenirs. The inside shopping area is less interesting than the architecture and its often pretty crowded. I would suggest this is a must see in the off season and it was... More

A Venice landmark which must be seen. You can and should take the time to walk across it and look at the little shops, but we appreciated its beauty more from a distance.

I enjoyed climbing the Rialto bridge and taking lots of pics of the Grand Canal. It is an iconic place and very historic -read up on it before you go. I was disappointed with the shops there, I think they cheapen the experience but historically there have always been shops there so...... I would hate to go there in summer... More
