On our recent stay in Venice we walked over and sailed under this fantastic bridge several times. To me the Rialto Bridge has much more appeal when viewed from the water. It was too crowded when we walked to it and the nearby shops and restaurants were much dearer than elsewhere.

Beautiful and Famous...many great outdoor cafe's near by. Very busy on the weekends. A bit difficult to find on foot. Better to take the boat bus there.

Very cool bridge, very good in pictures. The bridge is fun to walk across, and to ride the vaporetto under. It is looks amazing at night also. Its more romantic to look at night.

The tourists and locals become one in this place, which is for us just like a place to little bit escape from the crowded of thousands of tourists in San Marco area. The most preferred thing to do is try to get a seat in one of the bar terrace with gondola view during sunset. Very romantic.

We walked over the Rialto often during our stay in Venice, and also underneath it on the vaporetto. It is a very busy bridge, with shops along the middle, though we didn't think these shops were all that good compared to others on the walk to the bridge. The bridge is much more special when viewed from a distance, or... More

Rather essential to visit the Rialto area and the famous bridge. It is just part of the history and fabric of the place. As you stand on the bridge, it is not hard to imagine what the scene would have looked like hundreds of years ago - not so different!

Nice bridge and a lot of food shops and a good marketplace is here. You can buy souvenirs from here. But before you buy check out a no. of shops as the same item varies in price in different shops.

Had to walk over the Rialto Bridge. Lots of lovely little shops on the bridge but very crowded. Lovely view over the Grand Canal definitely a must see and do when in Venice.

I cannot add words that describe how lucky I felt standing on this bridge and looking down the canal that I had so longed to see. Across the way was the Hotel Rialto where my son spent part of his honeymoon. Just too incredible to put to words.

Went to Venice on a cruise ship and our waiter told us that street signs pointed to St Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge. We did not even bother with a map, we just followed the street signs. It was wonderful to see this bridge again (my last visit was 29 years ago). We managed to get some nice photos... More
