Our tour guide was Helene Salvadori with a Guide in Venice. Helene was very knowledgeable, always on time and easily adapted our tour to accommodate our son who had an injured knee and used a cane to walk. Helene's historical knowledge greatly added to our appreciation of Venice, its architecture and its works of art. Helene adjusted the pace of... More

We had a great and informative time with Fernando through Accademia which then finished off in the beautiful Frari basilica. If time permits, I would highly suggest ending in a church to see the art in situ since, while beautiful in Accademia, does not give you the feel the artist intended. Even if not interested in art, the history of... More

Dear Sabrina: I would like to personally thank-you on behalf of my wife and I for providing an excellent and most memorable tour of Venice. It was my wife's first trip to Venice, and my fourth, but you gave such an informative and knowledgeable narrative that it truly felt like it was my first! You were able to cater and... More

It was our family's first visit to Venice so we decided to do this tour to get an overall picture of the place. Sabrina met us at our hotel and enthralled us with her knowledge and story telling for the whole tour. The city has a fascinating history which you will just not appreciate if you do it on your... For a recent trip to Venice during Christmas week, I located on the internet A Guide in Venice. Over several months I corresponded with Fernando to ask suggestions, including questions of weather, schedule, itinerary and transportation. Fernando was professional and helpful. Because the guiding would be on Christmas Day, and the days before and after, it was difficult to find... More

This was our first trip and knew we wanted to see some of the well known areas but also go away from the crowds. Fernando was perfect and the 4 hour boat/walking tour was the way to go. We pretty much left it up to Fernando to design the day. Don't miss the water tour, well worth it... We liked... More

Fernando led our family of 5 on the deep Castello tour away from the crowds and helping us appreciate the historical sights and modern day Venice. He pitched the content, pace and style perfectly for our boys aged 8 and 10 and the adults including grandma. It really 'sunk' in and Fernando also gave us some great advice and ideas... More

I hired Fernando through AGIV, for a tour in Venice for myself and my 22 year old grandson. I think that the guide measures the customer in the first few minutes and adjusts to meet the customer's interests and enthusiasm. Our interests were wide ranging and very genuine. Fernando is extremely knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and gave... More

Sabrina led us on a "never to be forgotten" tour of Venice. She met us at our apartment in Cannaregio and for three hours kept us absolutely enthralled with her knowledge and passion for this amazing city. She first acquainted us with our local neighbourhood (wow!) and then showed us highlights of Venice, at the same time giving us historical... More

We were in Venice--our first visit--for three days at the beginning of a Venice/Dalmatian Coast cruise. Since our group tour included San Marco and the Doge's Palace, we contacted AGIV to book a private tour for our group of 4 to cover other parts of the city. We were primarily interested in getting a good orientation to the city as... More
