I thought that we were visiting Italy in one of the more quiet seasons. I can only hope for travellers going to Venice I was wrong. To be standing there and taking it all in is a little much. We visted several times throughout our stay and each time it offered a new perspective and gems. The vaporetti are croweded. Walk to Piazzele Roma to get a good seat. By Rialto it's standing room only. More

Great photo spot across from Accademia boat stop. This is also closest to Hotel Belle Arti. With all the traffic, the cleanliness of water is really worth seeing. More

To see a city that is entirely dependant for trasport on canal was an amazing experience. I wanted to see Venice right from my child hood and that is the reason I had chosen it for my honeymoon :) You will enjoy Rialto bridge with it's magical view in romantic evenings. it's the lifeline to venice, the waterbus is worth a trip @ 7 EUR per person, to see the sights. but the many stops will take about 1 hour from Ferrovia station to San Marco piazza More
