Great place to see, close to all the activities and the location to get to the main vaporetti stops, good shops and restaurants off the beaten track if you look for them

We booked through ILILaguna tours and the guide got wet 5 minutes into the tour.. We paid €30 each, we didn't get the tour because the guide had to go home and we didn't get a full refund,, Absolutely disgraceful !!!!

A complete jaw dropping travel experience in Venice! The best time to wander down the street is just before sunset, and please bring along your camera. Avoid day time strolling down the street, you might get drown by tourist!!!!

We used the valpresso waterbus to travel from the train station to our hotel. It gives you a terrific view of the city, its buildings and side canals. When it comes to exploring the city, it is faster and more interesting to walk around the city. You come across many interesting shops, cafes and interesting scenes for photo opps if... More

Although it's expensive, first timers to Venice need to take a gondola ride on the Grand Canal! It's worth it!

It should be illegal to visit Venice and not enjoy the Grand Canal both by day and night. It isn't a Disney set, but a true historical gem. In a city that lives by moving things on the water, you get boggled by the logistics. We even saw a barge with 2 full size cement mixers!

the Grand canal was as ever Grand! and oustanding and busy. This time the pedestrian walkways featured African fake-handbag salespeople who scuttle away at the sight of a policeman.

What is to say that hasn't been said already. If you haven't been to Venice it's absolute must. Take the No 1 Vaporetto which stops at every stop...nice slow ride or if you want to speed up a bit take the no 2....First ride just soak in the atmosphere....dont bury your nose in a book. Second ride - do a... More
