nothing to dislike. Everywhere you look it's fantastic. We took a trip to the lido one day taking the water bus, a return ticket for two was €28. The journey there was lovely and coming back we came the full length of the grand canal and so saw everything. We hadn't planned it this way and were due to go... More

Breath taking. That first sight as one sails round the corner on the grand canal and views the panorama of the opening to the Adriatic - amazing, fantastic, never fails to impress.

The Grand Canal was breathtaking. It was so busy, but so amazing to see the 100's of boats. The views from the bridges were wonderful and there are 409 bridges in Venice and althouh we felt we had walked over all of them, of course nowhere near. I do not believe that anybody could dislike and The Grand Canal

even though the water buses can get over filled with people, it is still a great experience to go on a tour along Grand Canal; just keep outside, either in the middle of the bus after boarding or go though to the back of the boat to check if there are open air spaces available

An excellent tour goes with a guide and is the famous 30 euros. What is good about it is the guide. However, I prefer the narrower canals in Venice. They are the ones that give the city its charm.

Venice is a city like no other and the Grand Canal is the main artery at the heart of the city. Enjoyed a lovely dinner sat on a terrace outside a restaurant on the Grand Canal watching the gondolas and water taxi passing by. One of the iconic "must visit" places to visit at least once in a lifetime.

When in Venice… The Vaporetto is a great way to see and feel the city and in a way, to understand how it has build. You feel as well the pulse and the sound of Venice between a myriad of smal vessels, the gondolas, the boats that transport good to the shops and street markets and of course the people,... More

We bought a 72 hour alillaguna ticket which was not as good for the hop on hop off type of boat trips as it does not have as many stops. get a 24 hour pass for the rides but then walk it. there is so much to see from all angles

Neat to see the buildings on water and all the boats in the morning delivering goods. Nothing overly special to me.
