Before going to Venice, searching for an Amarone Tour (my favorite wine) I found Venice Day Trips, through Trip Advisor. So, I've made contact with Mario Piccinin ( the owner) and I've booked a tour to Amarone area.
The tour was beyond our expectation. First, he offered two wineries to be visited, light (!!!???) lunch included. I asked for visiting...

We took a cruise in October from Venice and decided to stay an extra two days in the Veneto region to visit Verona and Vicenza on one day and Padua on the second day! A co-worker recommended Venice Day Trips to my family and I and a friend who was traveling with us. We had a party of 5. I...

Do not pass up an opportunity to have a tour of this region of Italy by Mario Piccinin. My partner and I were visiting our son who is studying at the Padua University and found Mario (and wife Rachel) come up several times regarding excellent tours. We were delighted that he worked with us to create an amazing day for...

My husband and I had a previous experience with Mario in summer 2008, when he was our guide in the wine tour in Colli Euganei and Valpolicella. Both tours were done on a very professional level. This summer we contacted Mario again with a request to help us planning two days in the North Italy (a day of cheese &...

My family of four (my husband and I, our two kids of 6 and 10) chose Venice Day Trips for a half-day walk in Venice. I generally like to just explore on my own, but since we only had 2 days in Venice before leaving on our cruise, I thought it was a good way to get oriented right away. ...

Mario took us on a great trip visiting the Valpolicella and Soave regions. The wines were without exception excellent and we enjoyed both Amarones and Reciotos.
The family owned wineries were run by incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable people and Mario assisted ably with necessary translations. A splendid lunch was provided at a local restaurant en route.
All in all, enjoyable...

Because this was my first visit to Venice , they took me to the many usual tourist attractions for the ever many photographs.
Then as they live very close to Venice and have both worked in the cityand therefore really know the city.
They said that we should get out...

Dear Trip advisor Staff,
this review is very nice and positive, but honestly I think that the reviewer is writing about a generic day trip in Venice and not about a tour of Venice Day Trips.
What can I do to clarify it?
Thanks

We did the Amarone Experience tour with Mario in June 2011 and found it very well organized and informtive. It was o easy to be picked up and dropped off right from Venice.
Along the way Mario filled us in on the history of the Valpolicella wine area. This was very helpful to prepare for the day as we are...

I have been to Italy a number of times, but do not speak the language and wanted to escape the "touristy" aspect of Venice. Mario is an excellent guide and took me to tiny little shops and restaurants that I will never be able to find on my own again in the maze of Venice. I had some of the...
