This was only two minutes from the centre of Padua and is a stunning cathedral. There were no crowds and it was a serene atmosphere. Fantastic architecture and art.

One of the simple Cathedrals that I have visited in Italy so far. There are a number of statutes around the church, the décor is simple but the atmosphere quite serene and peaceful. There is a marble altar where the pulpits are held by marbled sculptures - one had a golden face encased in the marble figure and is spectacular!.... More

Visited some interesting destinations, especially Isreal?palestine. Egypt was taken off the itinary due to the troubles. Food was so dissapointing. It mostly looked fantastic , but was either cold, tasteless or plain dreadful. Our cabin, a mini suite was for 3 of us. we had to keep asking for towels and glasses as it was made up for 2. Crew... Padua fulfilled my expectations, because I did not expect too much. Also, I did not expect that the city is pretty big. However, there is nice Duomo on the relatively small square, but it fits perfectly.

It was very quiet and hot Sunday afternoon at Piazza di Duomo in Padua. However, it was relaxing to see another excellent piece of Italian medieval architecture.

The cathedral was boring, the windows modern, the facade unfinished, and the worst contemporary scupltures adorn the altar. If you like beautiful cathedrals, go to Parma.

An impressive church in a classic style initially designed by Michelangelo. A peaceful retreat from the crowds that fill oter more popular destinations.

We travel far and wide to see good art and we're happy to pay for the privilege. The Baptistry charged 2,80 euros per person which felt a bit rich for what you saw. Granted, every inch of the circular room, including the ceiling, was covered with frescos but if you've been in Italy for any length of time, you've seen... More

We visited the Duomo following mass and were treated to beautiful performance by a boys choir. Memorable visit.

Whilst the Cathedral is indeed beautiful it is the Baptistry that demands a visit. It is simply breath-taking. The square contains a number of lovely little bars & restaurants & it's only a short walk to other Padua attractions. We enjoyed good weather during our stay & Piazza dell Duomo is the perfect place to relax & enjoy a glass... More
